Aaron’s dorm room
Kathy opens the door to find Cecily lying in Aaron’s bed looking naked in his bed. She backs out with Emma at her heels crying as Cecily pulls herself up out of the bed putting her sleeves back on to reveal she was just in a tank top and jeans. Cecily laughs knowing she’s pulled one over on Kathy the woman in Aaron’s bedside picture.
“You lose Kathy.”Cecily says
“There’s something funny going on with this Kathy. I know Aaron loves you.”Emma says reluctant to leave
“Do you really think so?”Asks Kathy
“I know girls on the make AJ has a lot of hangers on like that. That girl is a manipulator she probably set this up.”Emma says confidently
“So you don’t think Aaron was cheating on me?”Kathy asks
“No not a chance that guy is madly in love with you.” Emma states
“But how could she have set it up?”Asks Kathy
“You are so naive for having a baby. She probably just climbed in Aaron’s bed knowing you were there.”Emma states
“Do you really think so?”Asks Kathy
“Good grief do you hear yourself you sound like one of those women in those old romances who wait for their man. Take more pride in yourself. You are beautiful and Aaron would be lucky to have you as his girlfriend.” Emma says
“He is isn’t he? I’m a good Mom to his son too.”Kathy says wiping her tears
“That’s the spirit Kathy now go to the washroom wash your face and then put on your sexiest outfit oh never mind here.”Emma says
Emma opens up her suitcase and taking out a dress that would come to Kathy’s mid thigh. It was red and sparkly.
“I can’t wear that it’s too short and it’s freezing outside.”Kathy says
“We are inside and that will wow Aaron now put it on.”Emma commands
“Fine.”Kathy says going into the washroom
Just then Aaron comes down the hall and sees Emma .He’s dressed in a parka and it’s obvious he’s been outside as he shakes off snow.
“What are you doing here Emma? Is Kathy here?”He asks his eyes lighting up and searching for Kathy
“Yes but she met your girlfriend who’s naked in your bed.”Emma says angrily
“She what? But I don’t have a girlfriend! I don’t understand. Kathy is my girlfriend.”Aaron says
“Well Kathy saw this girl there she has brown hair curly hair .she is really pretty and like I said she was naked in your bed.”Emma says
“Good grief Cecily? But we are just friends well if she did this I guess we aren’t anymore.”Aaron says
“Well you have a lot of making up to do with Kathy.” Emma says her arms crossed
Kathy comes out in the dress and Aaron is stunned by how beautiful she looks. A guy walks down the dorm and his eyes do a double take on Kathy.
“Kathy I’m sorry about Cecily. I’m never speaking to her again. She faked it all. I just got back from shopping.”Aaron says as Emma nods at Kathy to tell her he really did just come in
“I wanted to get your Christmas present I was coming home for Christmas the day after tomorrow to give you this.”Aaron pulls out an engagement ring box and opens it revealing a gorgeous diamond ring
“Kathy will you marry me?”Aaron asks on bended knee
“Oh Aaron yes. Yes a hundred times yes.”Kath squeals with glee throwing her arms around Aaron who soundly kisses her
“Ah best friend here. I would like to congratulate her best friend and her new friend Aaron.” Emma says smiling
Aaron and Kathy reach over and include Emma in their hug as Cecily looks on angrily knowing she’s lost not Kathy.
“I’ve transferred to Happy Valley University I begin right after Christmas.”Aaron states
“Oh Aaron that’s wonderful.”Kathy says
“You got that right Kathy.”Emma says “Now I won’t be leaving to far away from my friend and cousin. Do you realize Kathy this means you’ll finally be family?”Emma says excitedly “and I’m not wearing one of those ugly maid of honour bridesmaid dresses. I get to pick it right?”
“You do get to pick it don’t worry Emma.”Kathy says
“If we leave now we could make it home for Christmas Eve.”Aaron says “I know how important Christmas is to the Martins.”
“Oh thank –you Aaron we can go home and see the tree with Aaron it’s his first Christmas .And I can show my mom’s star to him.”Kathy says
“Yes that would be wonderful and you and I can tell Tad and Dottie about our engagement.”Aaron says
“Yes and I can see AJ for Christmas.”Emma says as they get in the limo
In Happy Valley
Dottie is rocking little Aaron.
“I wish my mom was in Europe with her new husband Alexander Fortune .Do you know I’ve never even met him yet they’ve been married two years?”Dottie says to Tad
“Do you want me to take the little guy for awhile. So you can get the turkey ready for after church services?”Tad asks
“Yes thanks Tad.”Dottie says just as the doorbell rings
“Who could that be?Do you Think Kathy made it back? I thought she was coming home tomorrow morning?”Dottie say as she throws open the front door to Joe and Ruth
“Ruth? Joe? I didn’t know you were coming.”Dottie says glaring at Tad as if to say why didn’t you tell me
“Is this why you ordered that 25 pound turkey Tad Martin?” she asks
“Tad didn’t know dear. We hope we are not too much of an imposition.”Ruth says “We just wanted to see our grandchildren.”
“Jake’s coming to dinner tomorrow, he’s bringing Amanda with little Ruth and Trevor. And Kathy will be home tomorrow.” Dottie says as the doorbell rings again
“Must be a neighbour or something excuse me.”Dottie says to Ruth who is smiling
Dottie opens the door to Edna and her new husband Alexander
“Mama you’re here?”Asks Dottie
“Of course I am I missed my baby girl.”Edna says “And I told Alexander I wanted to meet my new grandchildren.” Then Edna reaches out a hugs Dottie taking her in her arms
“Can I tell her now Alexander?”Edna asks
“Go ahead Edna.”Alexander says indulgently
“Alexander and I are moving to Happy Valley. Alexander bought the television station T.J works for.”Edna says excited
“Oh Mama it will be so good to have you close by. I missed you so.”Dottie says
“Well you have your husband Tad to thank. He’s grown up into the man I wish he’d been all those years ago. Tad arranged for us to buy the studio and to come home this evening so we can attend church services with you.” Edna says
“Oh Tad thank-you this is the best Christmas present ever.”Dottie says
Jaime comes in with his new wife Stacy Lee at that moment and says
“And I thought Stacy and I were the best Christmas present.”He says laughing as he turns around
T.J comes in and says “I got the night off so I could take my mother to mass.Grandma? You’re here?”
“Yes Thadeous, I’m here.” Says Edna
“Are you staying long?”Asks T.J.
“Just the rest of our lives Alexander bought the television studio.” Edna says
“You did?”T.J says less than enthused
“Don’t worry son your job is safe.”Alexander says misunderstanding
“Thanks.”Says T.J hiding his revulsion at Alexander’s ownership of his work place
The front door opens and in comes Kathy with Aaron her ring glittering in the light
“Is that what I think it is Kathy?”Asks Dottie excited
“Yes Aaron and are engaged.” says Kathy “We’ll get married when he finishes school next year.”
“This is wonderful this is the best Christmas ever.”Dottie says wiping her eyes
“Yes it is all of our family here for Christmas.”Tad says
“Even mom I see her star up in the sky.” Kathy says
“Yes God bless you Dixie I am taking good care of our Tad.”Dottie says looking out the kitchen window at Dixie’s star
“God bless us everyone says Jenny and Mike at the same time.

Tad’s house
Kathy is fussing over her baby little Aaron and she carries him down the stairs to the kitchen for a bottle
“Kathy I would have done that. Are you supposed to be carrying Aaron? He’s getting so heavy to carry.”Dottie says reaching out her arms to take Aaron
“It’s fine .I’m so much stronger you know that. David says that I’m repairing faster than he had hoped.”Kathy says
“But he also said you’d never have back the heart you had.”Dottie says
“I have to live my life Dottie. Look at my little boy isn’t he precious?”Kathy says smiling and changing the subject
“He is indeed very precious. Have you heard from Aaron Senior?”Dottie asks
“No I don’t know what’s going on with him. He said he was only staying for a short time to move his mom Caitlin to Seattle.”Kathy says sounding worried
“How long has he been there?”asks Dottie
“Long enough for semester of classes there.”Kathy says
“He took classes in Seattle? Is he staying?”Asks Dottie
“I don’t know what he is doing .He hasn’t really told me. He’s been treating me like I’m a fragile flower that he can’t confide in.”Kathy replies “He’s been so busy with classes I’ve barely heard from him.”
“Man they can be a pain when we are ill they become so Neanderthal like.”Dottie states
“Exactly. And I’m so much better that I can do so much now but he’s not around so he doesn’t know that.”Kathy complains
“Call him talk to him.”Dottie counsels
“I think I will after I feed Aaron.”Dottie says
“Let me do that please I love feeding Aaron and then you can go call Aaron senior.”Dottie says
“Thanks Dottie I like to do that.” Kathy says
“Hello little Aari my love .Want your bottle don’t you say Dottie putting the bottle in his mouth
The camera pans in on Kathy calling Aaron
“Hello?” a woman’s voice answers on the other end as we see A woman in a towel answer the phone
“Aaron?” Asks Kathy confused
“No sorry he’s not here right now can I take a message?”The woman says
“No, no message.”Says Kathy hanging up upset that a woman answered his phone
Camera switches to Aaron’s dorm room.
“Was that my phone ringing?” asks Aaron coming in from the hallway
“Yes but they left no message.”Says the woman
“You didn’t have to answer my phone in your towel Cecily I do have a call/answer on my phone. Maybe you should go get dressed.”Aaron says embarrassed
“Gee I just thought you might need to have your phone answered.” says Cecily piling on guilt
“Thank-you I do appreciate it sorry for snapping at you Cecily.”Aaron says
As Cecily turns her back she smiles widely convinced she’s scored points with Aaron and he’s noticed her.
Meanwhile back at Tad’s house
“What is the matter Kathy didn’t you get through to Aaron?”Dottie asks
“Yes I did but a woman answered.”Kathy says
“Do you want to go to Seattle?”Asks Dottie
“Yes I do but I don’t want to take baby Aaron.”Kathy says
“Do you trust Annie?”Asks Dottie
“Of course I do she’s Emma’s mother but she’s so busy with the magazine and her book writing.”Kathy says “I’ve got it I’ll ask Emma she’s off on Christmas holidays anyway.”
“Emma it is Kathy.”Kathy says “Can you come over I have a huge favour to ask you.”
“Sure I’ll be there in ten minutes.” Says Emma
“She’s coming over I’ll ask her when she gets here.”Kathy says
Just then they hear a knock at the door.
“Does she have wings?”Asks Dottie laughing as she opens up the door to Hilary
“Hilary come in what can we do for you?”Dottie asks politely but Kathy can see she’s stressed
“Have you seen Chloe she said she was coming over here to play with Mike and Jenny.”Hilary asks
“She’s only two years old are you telling me you let her come over her alone?”Asks Dottie incredulously
“I had such a headache and she said she was coming here so I wasn’t worried.”Hilary says
“Michael? Jenny?”Dottie calls
“Is Chloe with you?” Dottie asks Michael when he comes in the room
“No but she might be with Jenny she likes Jenny’s jewellery.”Mike says
“Jenny?”Shouts Dottie up the stairs
Jenny walks downstairs holding Chloe’s hand.
“Thank goodness there you are Chloe.”Hilary says
“You said it was okay Mommy. I see Jenny.”Chloe says
“Yes I did but next time you wait for Mommy to bring you over.”Hilary says
“I no see Tad.”Chloe says sticking out her lip
“Uncle Tad is busy with his brother.”Hilary says
“I see Tad later.”Chloe insists
“Maybe right now it’s time for lunch come home Chloe.”Hilary says
“Bye bye Jenny. Fanks for having me.”Jenny says trying to repeat what she’s heard
“That was really nice Chloe see you later.”Says Jenny gently
Hilary takes Chloe and goes through the shared door.
“You better keep that door double locked that woman is on the make for Dad, Mom.”Mike says to Dottie
“Mike.”Admonishes Jenny
“What I was only saying the truth.”Mike says
“It’s okay Dottie don’t listen to Mike. You are his wife not Hilary.”Jenny says
“That’s right you are our step-mother and we love you. ”Says Kathy
“Thanks Jenny Mike don’t worry.”Dottie says but you can tell she’s saying this for the two of them
Emma comes to the front door interrupting this conversation.
“Emma good to see you.”Dottie says “Kathy was going to have you watch little Aaron while she and I went to Seattle to see Aaron but I have a better idea if your mother will let you. Why don’t you go with Kathy while I babysit my grandchild?”
“Sounds good to me. When did you want to go Kathy?”Asks Emma
“I want to leave as soon as possible.”Kathy states
“And how will we get there?”Emma asks
“I’ll order and pay for a limo.”Dottie says picking up her phone “I’ll make you both reservations at the Four Seasons Hotel.”
“Thanks Mom.” Says Kathy kissing Dottie on the cheek
“Mom it’s Emma. Now don’t say no before you hear me out. If I behave myself can I go with Emma to Seattle? How long?” Emma says
“How long?” Emma asks Kathy
“A couple of days?”Kathy states
“A couple of days mom and Dottie has hired a limo to take us there and paid for our hotel rooms.”Emma states begging
“Fine but you have to call me when you get there. I’m trusting you no booze no drugs and no boys in your room. Is that understood?” Annie states
“We are leaving in a few minutes .Thanks mom you’re the best.”Says Emma hanging up the phone
“Oh great I just realized I haven’t any clothes.”Emma says
Dottie hands her some money and says “I’m sure Kathy’s clothes will fit you and you can borrow some and buy whatever else you need with this.”
“Thanks Mrs. Martin.”Emma says then to Kathy who has come down with a suitcase packed for both of them she says “You are so lucky to have such a great step-mom. I don’t think you should be carry that suitcase though give it to me I’ll carry it.”
“Don’t I know it.”Says Kathy “Dottie is the best.
“Bye Mom.”Kathy says leaving and getting in the limo with Jenny
A few hours later they arrive at Aaron’s dorm room .Kathy opens the door to find Cecily lying in Aaron’s bed looking naked in his bed. Happy Valley hospital

Tad is in the cafeteria having some breakfast. He crumbles chocolate bars into the cereal he’s bought, when he’s cellphone rings. He answers his phone saying:
“Hello? Dottie?”
“No Tad it is Liza. I’m on my way home on an airplane. Tell me what’s going on? I got a panicked phone call from Colby two days ago but I only got the message this morning. The message was all garbled and the only I understood was hospital. ”Liza says sitting on the aisle seat of the airplane
“Colby went into labour the day before yesterday.”Tad starts but Liza interrupts
“But it is too soon...the baby is the baby okay...is Colby?”Liza says panicked
“Roxanne, Colby’s little girl is a fighter.”Tad says
“They called her Roxanne?”Liza asks
“Yes Roxanne because it’s a name that they thought a little fighter would have. She’s small but Jake is amazed she’s all ready gained 3ounces and she hasn’t been alone. The whole Martin clan has been with her.” Tad said ”in fact I’m at the hospital now.’
“But the germs all those people.”Liza says worried
“They’ve all be gowned and masks were taking no chances with that little girl.”Tad states” You haven’t seen anything until you’ve seen Erica Kane holding a tiny baby and singing to her.”
“Erica sang to my granddaughter?”Liza states shocked
“Yes we are all encouraging that little girl. We want her to know she’s loved and wanted so she’ll fight and get bigger and healthy.”Tad states
“Oh Tad how can I thank everyone?”Liza asks
“You don’t have to Liza this is what caring people do for one another. Roxanne is my niece. We love her.”Tad says “and everyone else adores Pete and Colby and we want them to have a healthy little girl.”
“How bad is it Tad?”Asks Liza
“I’m not going to pull any punches Liza a premature baby; one that early can have complications. That’s what Jake told me.”Tad says
“What kind of complications?” Liza asks
“Maybe we should talk about it after your plane lands.”Tad says quietly
“What kind of complications TAD?”Liza says raising her voice and getting looks from passengers on the plane “What kind of complications what are Pete and Colby facing for Roxanne?”
“One of the main problems Roxanne is facing is that her lungs are not mature yet that is why they have Roxanne on a ventilator. They are giving her drugs to mature her lungs but there are complications that can happen from this. She could have eye damage from the lengths taken to help her. She could also have also have developmental difficulties, possible cerebral palsy, and chronic lung disease. Feed difficulties could be possible as well depending on her development.”Tad recites
“Oh my god Tad.Tell me the good news Tad.”Begs Liza
“The good news is she fighting she wants to live. She gained some ounces which is good and Roxanne has got everyone pulling for her and her parents. We are going to do all we can for her.”Tad says
“Thanks Tad I’ll see you at the hospital after I get in.”Liza states
Tad hangs up to see Pete come in the cafeteria
“Can I get you some breakfast of champions?”Tad asks
“How can you eat that Tad it’s disgusting.”Pete says
“Don’t you worry I won’t sneak to many chocolate bars to Roxanne when she gets older.”Tad says
“Will she get older Tad?”Pete asks wearily and sound scared
“She will Pete. Roxanne is a fighter .She’s a Cortlandt a Chandler and a Colby with blood like that she’s a dynamo. “Tad says
“I almost believe you Tad.”Pete says smiling
“Believe it Pete. Roxanne will get bigger and one day you’ll be yelling at me to quit feeding her chocolate bars.”Tad says confidently then he hugs Pete
Tad gets up gets some coffee and a bowl of cereal for Pete and comes back putting it in front of Pete
“I can’t eat Tad.”Pete says
“Now what kind of example is that for Roxanne? Besides it would do for Roxanne’s daddy to drop her because he hasn’t eaten anything.”Tad says
“In that case thanks Tad, I’ll try to get this down.” Pete says
“You sure some chocolate wouldn’t help. Chocolate is the breakfast of champions.”Tad says in a Groucho Marks voice
“No thanks Tad.”Pete says laughing
Opal comes in sees them together and hears Pete laugh and says
“That’s my boys always there for each other.”
Flash to the neonatal unit where Colby is holding Roxanne while sitting down
Colby is singing softly to Roxanne .She is singing Rhianna’s Umbrella Roxanne smiles and coos.

Krystal arrives looking for Tad
“Krystal whatever is the matter?” Asks Dottie
“I can’t say it I can’t say it aloud.”Krystal says
“Tad’s in the man cave with Michael .I’ll call him and then maybe you can tell Tad and I what is wrong.” Dottie says
“TAD” yells Dottie
“You rang madame? Seriously what’s up? Michael and I were Watching Hockey and since Jenny isn’t home to do the running commentary we are trying to keep up.”Tad says
“Krystal needs to see you.”Dottie says showing him that Krystal is there
“I didn’t see you there Krystal. Hey what’s wrong? Is it Adam?”Tad asks
“No it’s not Adam it’s Colby.
Flash to the earlier that Day
Colby Calls Krystal
“There’s something wrong Krystal. There’s something wrong with the pregnancy I’m in so much pain. Please can you come over?”Colby asks
“You should go to the hospital Colby. Can you get a cab?”Krystal says getting into her car and still talking on her Bluetooth
“Ooooh that hurts.”Colby says
“Did you call the doctor?”Asks Krystal trying to concentrate on her driving
“No I thought it would go away but my back hurts so much and I have pain radiating to my front.”Colby states
“I’ll be there in a couple of seconds then were going to Happy Valley Hospital.”Krystal says
“Okay.”Says Colby
Krystal runs into Colby’s apartment with Pete
“Where is Pete anyway Krystal asks?”
“He is in the middle of a big project .He’s trying to find the next cure.”Colby says proudly
“You don’t understand any of what he really does do you?”Asks Krystal helping Colby put on her coat to get her to the waiting car
“No but I know he is helping a lot of people with abilities he may be able to cure illnesses.” Colby says “Ooooh this hurts so much what is happening?”
“I don’t know but we are going to get it looked at.”Krystal says “And I think Pete needs to leave his office and come join us.”
Happy Valley Hospital Emergency Room
“So what do we have here?”Asks Jake “what is happening Colby?”
“I have a pain right here in the middle of my back. And it goes all the way to my front.”Colby says
“Well here’s what we are going to do Colby we are going to do an ultrasound and see how that little one is doing. Then we are going to see just how far along you are with these contractions and see if we can stop them.”Jake says softly
“Contractions? I’m in labour how can I be in labour it’s too soon.”Colby says her eyes growing round and looking scared
“I know honey but we are going to take the best care of you and your baby and see whether we could stop this labour.”Jake says
“Krystal I want Peter get my Pete please?”begs Colby
“I will honey .I’ll be back in a jig with him but in the meantime you calm down and do whatever Jake says. Okay honey.”Krystal says
“I wish my mom wasn’t out of town visiting Nana Colby.”Colby says
“I’m here Darlin and I’m only leaving to get Pete. That will take five minutes tops.”Krystal reassures Colby
“Hurry Krystal.”Colby says
Pete walks in looking worried as Colby’s labour rapidly progresses
“That ‘s it Colby .”Says Jake as he delivers the baby
“It’s a girl “Jake says suctioning the baby’s nose and mouth and transferring the tiny baby girl to a neonatal bassinet
“Can I see her?”Asks Colby
“The baby is very tiny Colby. She needs specialized care forte next little while.”Jake explains to Colby as he wheels over the bassinet for a quick look for Colby
“Will she live?”Asks Colby terrified
“I don’t know Colby she’s very tiny and very early. She seems to be a fighter though. What are you and Pete going to call her?”asks Jake as the nurse wheels the baby away to neonatal.
“Pete?”asks Colby
“How about Roxanne because she is a fighter?”Pete asks
“That sounds like a good name. I wanted to call her Elizabeth after my Aunt but that can be her middle name if that’s okay with you.”Colby says
“Will you go stay with her Pete I don’t want Roxanne alone.”Colby states


“Don’t worry Colby I’ll make sure she’s never alone. Krystal will you go tell my brother Tad and ask him to get everyone to help us out? I want to arrange shifts were people hold and sing to our little girl and pray for her. I’ve heard before that helps newborns that are born before 40 weeks,” Pete states ”I’m going now to be with Roxanne .
We see Pete singing to his daughter
“Sleep my little one sleep my pretty one. Father is with you now. Rest .rest on Daddy’s breast mother will come to you soon.”
The nurse smiles as not only Roxanne but other babies in the neonatal unit seem calmer with Pete’s singing
Flashback to Tad Krystal and Dottie
“So how is Roxanne doing?”Asks Tad shocked
“She’s holding her own but as I said Pete needs help. If you and Dottie could help arrange a prayer group that could not only pray but hold Roxanne I think that would help them.”Krystal state
“Anything they need they’ve got it.” says Dottie picking up the phone and starting to call people to help.
Krystal says ”You are a lucky man Tad Martin. I hope you realize how lucky you really are and don’t screw this up.”
As Tad’s thoughts flashback to his sitting beside Hillary’s hospital bed and wondering what it would have been like if he had stayed married to Hillary.

“So where have you been Tad Martin?”Asks Dottie “As if I didn’t know.”
“I fell asleep the hospital.”Tad admits sheepishly
“I understand your need to help her Tad I really do; but I am your wife not Hillary.”Dottie states
“Really Hill...er Dottie you have nothing to worry about.”Tad says stumbling over her name
“And so it starts. Get it through your head Tad Martin. I didn’t wait all those years for you to say you loved me for Hillary to sweep back in and steal you yet again."
"Te amo con todo mi corazón. You are my love my heart is as well Dottie. I couldn’t live without you.”Tad says
“Just so Hillary knows that.” Dottie says "Te amo con todo mi corazón.”
“She does I told her she’s my past but you hold my future, my heart and all my tomorrows.”Tad says taking Dottie in his arms kissing her soundly
“Am I interrupting something parental units? Should I go upstairs and come back later?Asks Jenny followed by Mike
“Yuck get a room.”Says Mike
“I have an idea let’s all go out to breakfast my treat.”Says Tad
“Where at Dorthea’s?”Dottie laughs
“Where else it’s my favourite name.”Tad says

“Yes .Can I go see mommy now?”Asks Chloe
“Later we will go see mommy. Right now let’s go up and change we are going to a restaurant for breakfast.”Dottie says taking Chloe’s hand and taking her up to get changed
“You wanted to talk Mike?”Tad asks
“So this woman you used to be married to she’s my Aunt Hillary?”Mike asks
“Yes and Chloe is your cousin.”Tad says
“I remember Uncle Henry. He was mean almost as mean as my biological father. Is he going to come here after Chloe and me?”Mike asks
“Not if I can help it son. No one will harm you ever again.”Tad states
“ Thanks Dad.” Mike says happy again “don’t worry I won’t let him hurt Chloe either.”

Dottie looks on and thinks

Andrew dresses and goes down to the police station entering the station he says
“Trick or treat?” to Brot who’s on duty
“Huh?”asks Brot puzzled
“Okay trick.” Andrew performs a card trick “Now for your treat I’m your man I killed Iris Blanco, Natalia Fowler is innocent.” Andrew states
“You have the right to remain silent and refuse to answer questions. Anything you do say may be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to consult an attorney before speaking to the police and to have an attorney present during questioning now or in the future. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you before any questioning if you wish. If you decide to answer questions now without an attorney present you will still have the right to stop answering at any time until you talk to an attorney. Knowing and understanding your rights as I have explained them to you, are you willing to answer my questions without an attorney present?”
“Yes I wave my rights I killed Iris Blanco. She harassed my granddaughter once too often and I went to talk to her. When she came at me with the letter opener I took it away and stabbed her in the back. Now let Natalia go she had nothing to do with this. She must have thought Randi had done it but it was me and I can prove it .I have the security tape form Iris’ office.”Andrew states as he hands over the tape
Brot locks Andrew in a cell and lets out Natalia. Brot hugs and kisses her and she complains loudly
“Why am I out I did it I killed Iris.”
“You did not Natalia and the person who killed her has confessed.”Brot says
“She’s lying she didn’t do it I did it.”Natalia says distressed
“Natalia it wasn’t Randi .Andrew killed Iris.”Brot says quietly
“He did? Randi didn’t do it?” Natalia asks
“No she didn’t but I can understand why you said you did it Natalia Fowler. You thought Randi had done it and you wanted to protect her.” Brot states taking her in his arms
“I’m free.” Natalia says happily
“Andrew needs a good lawyer do you know one?”Brot asks
“I suggest we call Jackson Montgomery.”Natalia says
“Jackson, Brot Monroe here. We have a client for you in lock-up. Thanks see you soon Jack.”Brot says
“I love you Brot Monroe.”Natalia says putting her arms around his neck
“Natalia I’m at work here.”Brot says and then soundly kisses her telling the desk cop

Much later in the day
“Thank goodness he confessed and my little girl is safe.”Says Jesse to Angie
“She’s not such a little girl anymore Jesse.”Angie states
“Yes, I know I’ll soon be escorting my little girl down the aisle. At least I know she’s marrying a good man” Jesse states
“Brot is a good man.”Angie states
“Yes he’ll do.”Jesse states
“Tad called me this morning seems that Hillary is back in his life.”Jesse says
“Hillary but he’s married to Dottie now!” Angie says
“He’s well aware of that but Hillary needs some help and tad has stepped into help her and her daughter.”Jesse explains
“Why does she need help?”Angie asks
“Hillary has an abusive husband. Tad’s bringing her in today the district attorney from her town is meeting her at the Happy Valley hospital as favour to me. She’s going to swear charges against her husband for the physical abuse she’s suffered from him. She has pictures from the latest attack and sworn statements from Dr. Hayward. David examined her after Tad called .Tad was really worried when she had what appeared to him to be having some kind of heart related thing. It turned out to be a panic attack .The tree outside was banging on the window and she thought it was her husband Henry breaking in. David says that she had assigns of a Temporomandibular joint dislocation though. It’s where the jaw bone is dislocated. He took her to the hospital for X-rays and then David realigned the jaw bone. He kept overnight because of the aesthetic though that he used she had a slight reaction to it.”
“Oh dear, poor Hillary. I’m surprised you could remember and pronounce the name of that dislocation though.”Angie says smiling
“I’ve got head out now see you later at the hospital.”Jesse says
Flash to the hospital where Tad is sitting beside Hillary’s bed making sure she’s safe.
Flash back to Dottie who looks at the clock as it ticks from 3:30 to 4:30 to 5:30 to 7pm and no Tad.
“Damn you Hillary Wilson I won’t let you win this time. Tad is my husband!” says Dottie

Halloween Night
Pine Valley is in bed sleeping
Tad is tossing and turning beside Dottie as he dreams
Flash to Dottie’s restaurant office Tad is just outside the door when he hears
“I’ll have your licence do you think I can’t? I own this town. Call off your husband or your restaurant will have a visitor who will conveniently find rat droppings.”Mayor Blanco says to Dottie
“You can’t do that.”Dottie says outraged
“Can’t I? I am the Mayor I own this town. And don’t think I can’t condemn a few of Tad Martin’s buildings.”Iris says
“Condemn you would condemn buildings people live in?”demands Dottie
“Why it’s nothing to me.”Iris says
Tad grows angry outside the door as Iris continues
“And those children you two are so proud of? A whisper here, a word there and T.J. loses his job and Kathy gets kicked out of that experimental program she’s in to help hearts repair easier.”Iris says
“How dare you threaten my kids?” Dottie says ”You could have an accident you are God.”
“Aren’t I ?Tsk, tsk, from where I’m seating I can do whatever I want and you will bend to my will.”Iris says “because if you don’t you will face the consequences. And you won’t like what I do to you and your family. So call off Tad Martin.”
“Please don’t do this.”Dottie begs
“I’m not doing anything. You make your decision it’s all up to you.”Iris says viciously
Tad thinks at that moment outside the door that he could kill Iris

Flash to Tad the knife in his hand Mayor Blanco dead on the floor as the police come in.
Tad awakens shaken then we see Iris hovering beside his bed saying
“It’s your fault I’m dead Tad Martin find my killer or I’ll make your life miserable.”
Tad then awakens again for real this time heaves a sigh of relief that Iris was a dream as Dottie says
“Bad dream?’”
“Yes.”Tad replies as Dottie takes him in her arms and they go back to sleep.
Flash to Natalia in the cells. She too is dreaming
“How could you Natalia Fowler you are a police officer. You are protecting a murderer.” Iris says to Natalia
“I had to. What you did to Randi was horrible. She was a child and you condemned her to a life of horror in foster home after foster home. She was assaulted in one did you know that?Even if you had known you wouldn’t care. Now Randi had a stroke and she found out that you who had caused her so much pain you was ruining other lives of course she felt she had to stop you. I won’t let her suffer anymore. I won’t let you harm her. And dad and Angie you harmed them. You deserved to die.”Natalia says
“How can someone who upholds the law say that someone deserves to die? And what if Randi wasn’t the one to kill me did you ask her? If she didn’t kill me you’re protecting a murderer.” Iris says
“I made my bed I will lie in it.”Natalia says
“Lie being the key word.”Iris demands “Find my murderer Natalia .no one deserves to die the way I did.”
Natalia jars awake and shivers
Natalia thinks “What if I’m wrong and Randi didn’t kill Mayor Blanco?”
Flash to Yvonne (Randi’s mother).Yvonne is sleeping
Yvonne is younger and she has a scarf covering her head since she lost it to breast cancer treatment. She looks over at a young Randi playing. A knock is heard at the door. Yvonne answers to Randi’s dad
“I’ve come to take Randi for few days. So you can have some rest. I’ll bring her back in a few days. ”he says as he takes Randi’s hand and takes her out the door
Yvonne’s dream flashes to a couple of days later when she’s trying to find Randi’s father and can’t .
She’s crying and trying to find her daughter. Then she finds him .
“Please tell me where Randi is.” She begs to no avail she takes out a gun and threatened him and he grabs it and it goes off.
Yvonne then flashes to a few days ago when she went to see Iris
“You bitch. You’ve been making my life hell for years .You harmed my daughter sent her away from her home and her mother.”Yvonne yells before Iris interrupts
“Like mother like daughter. The mother is a whore and so is the daughter.” Iris says
“How dare you what has Randi ever done to you?”Yvonne asks
“She was born.”Iris says ”I should have had his child not you but year after year went by and he said he didn’t want a child and then I find out you have his daughter.”
“You were jealous?”Asks Yvonne incredulously
“Jealous of you? No!’Iris says laughing
“Why? Why did he let you give her away?”Yvonne asks
“Stupid woman for the same reason he dropped you. I demanded it. I had all the money not him. His father cut him off. Besides he didn’t know until after the fact and by then I was pregnant. You killed him you bitch and I lost the baby. Grief killed my baby. You killed my baby. Did you think that I wouldn’t make you suffer, you and your spawn?”Iris says ”I made sure she was placed in that home. I knew what that boy was like.”
“You stay away from Randi. I killed someone I loved do you think it would be hard to kill a bitch like you?”Yvonne counters
“You don’t have the guts.”Iris says
“Don’t I? I could gut you like a fish and you’d bleed out quickly.”Yvonne states
“You don’t have the guts.”Iris repeats
“Don’t push me further or you’ll find out.”Yvonne states angrily
“Don’t you threaten me I can snap my fingers and you’ll find yourself back in jail so fast your head will spin .Then who will protect Randi?”Iris sneers
“I’m warning you for the last time Iris back off or you’ll take a dirt nap.”Yvonne says ”Goodbye Iris.”
Yvonne wakes up with a start and thinks happily that Iris is dead and can’t hurt Randi anymore
Flash to Andrew’s mansion. Andrew is dreaming

“Andrew what are you doing here did we have an appointment?”Iris asks
“The anniversary of my son’s death is coming up.”Andrew states sadly
“Is it true that Randi is staying with you?”Asks Iris
“Yes so what is it to you?”Andrew asks
“How could you?” asks Iris “Her mother killed him.”
“Randi is my flesh and blood.”Andrew says quietly
“I had you’re flesh and blood. She killed his father and he died.”Iris says
“You have to quit blaming Randi. This was partly your fault you took that child from her mother.”Andrew states
“Yvonne deserved more than that.”Iris says
“But what did it get you Iris? It got my boy killed.”Andrew says quietly
“Yvonne killed him.” Iris says angrily
“Stop coming after my granddaughter.”Andrew states
“Randi will pay and then Yvonne will suffer.”Iris says
“You have hurt my granddaughter enough .You will leave her alone.”Andrew demands angrily
“Or you’ll do what old man? I can do what I want. They will pay for what they did.”Iris states
“What did Randi do?” asks Andrew
“She was born and she took him away from me.”Iris states
“You’re sick you should get some help Iris.”Andrew says turning away
Iris grabs the letter opener off her desk and comes at Andrew as if to stab him. Andrew tries to pull it out of her hand .She fights back and Andrew says
“You’ll never stop.” then he calmly stabs her in the back as he grabs in a hug like motion
“Why?”she asks
“You can’t be allowed to hurt anyone anymore Iris.”Andrew states as he walk away leaving her to die
Andrew wakes with a start.
“No one knows what I’ve done.” He thinks but then he looks beside and sees Iris
“Why are you here?”Andrew asks
“I have to make up for what I did in life. You can’t let Randi suffer.”Iris says
“Why would she you’re dead you can’t hurt her anymore.”Andrew asks
“Natalia thinks Randi killed me. She’s taken the blame. My evil continues.”Iris states
“No I won’t let that happen.”Andrew says coming fully awake .

“My lawyer called and said that Natalia Fowler has confessed to killing Mayor Blanco. I don’t know what is going on but I just can’t believe this Dottie. I know I didn’t kill her but neither did Natalia.”Tad says
“Oh no poor Jesse and Angie. They are our best friends we have to find out who really did this Tad.” Dottie says
“I know but what if we find out Natalia is protecting someone close to them.”Tad asks
“It’s the chance we have to take Tad and when we do we can make a decision whether to keep quiet or not.”Dottie says
“You’d go against your principles like that?”Tad asks
“If it was to protect someone vulnerable.” Dottie states
“Why haven’t we heard from Kendall and Zach?”Asks Tad
“Maybe you should give them a call the custody case is Monday.”Dottie states
Tad calls Zach’s phone
“Zach this is Tad have you got anything yet?’Asks Tad
“We should be at your house in about ten minutes, with some help.”Zach states hanging up
“What did Zach say?”asks Dottie
“He was very cryptic.” Tad says puzzled

The doorbell peals at Tad and Dottie’s house. Dottie opens the door


“Trick or treat says Hillary stepping in the house followed by Kendall and Zach
“Definitely a trick.” Says Dottie rubbing her eyes like Hillary will disappear
“Hello Tad long time no see.” Says Hillary seeing Tad down the hallway
“Hills? Hillary? What are you doing here?”Asks Tad as he comes to the door
Dottie looks pained, annoyed and frightened at Hillary’s appearance.
“I came because you needed me Tad.”Hillary says
“Really and why did my husband need you?”Asks Dottie empathizing that Tad is her husband

“And you would take Michael from Tad? I always knew you were a selfish bitch but really Hillary what makes you think this is right?”Asks Dottie angrily looking like she wants to hit Hillary
Tad quickly steps between them
“What’s going on Hillary? I can see the bruises behind that make-up. Who did that to you?”Tad asks

“Not that it is any of your business but I was forced into this Dottie.” Hillary states
“She was Dottie. The monster she lives with threatened her and her daughter. She’s risking her life coming here” Kendall says
“I’ve been to see the judge in the custody case and gave her all the information about my husband and his siphoning of my daughter’s and my trust funds.”Hillary states
“He stoled from you?” Dottie asks
“Yes and he beat me daily and kept me prisoner if Kendall and Zach hadn’t gotten me out of there he’d still have me.”Hillary
“Where will you stay now Hillary?” asks Tad worried
“Zach and Kendall have put me in touch with the Miranda center. They said I could stay there with my daughter Chloe for awhile.”Hillary says
“Why don’t you stay with us we have a big house.” Tad says
“I don’t want to be any trouble.”Says Hillary hiding a smile like she hoped he’d offer
“Actually Tad Krystal isn’t living next door anymore. She lives with Adam and you still own that. Why don’t we let Hillary stay there?”Dottie asks thinking Hillary would be better not in their house
“An excellent suggestion you’d be protected. It has an alarm system. And we’re right next door in fact there is a door that goes straight to our house.”Tad says as Dottie frowns
“Thank-you both.” Hillary says as Kendall and Dottie take Hillary next door leaving Tad with Zach
“So you set up surveillance with Kendall? I would have paid to see that.”Tad says laughing
“Kendall pulled her weight. She did a great job.” defends Zach
“And he was beating her?”Asks Tad
“Yes the cretin probably would start on the little one next.”Zach states
“Yes it’s never enough for them and to think he thought he could get Michael. What does this guy look like so I can be prepared.”Tad demands to know
“Hillary’s husband Henry looks just like Anton Lang.”Zach says
“Anton Lang, Kendall ex-husband? How is that possible?”Tad asks
“Dimitri sowed some wild oats when he was younger and Henry was apparently the result.”Zach states
“This Henry sounds nothing like Dimitri.”Tad says “Abusing woman? Do you think he’ll come here after Hillary?”
“Yes .He thinks of her as his possession and his daughter Chloe is also considered his possession.”Zach says
“We are both familiar with this type of man. Our fathers were prime examples. I’ll think about what they would do in this situation and plan accordingly. Thanks for bringing her here Zach.”Tad says
“I hope I don’t regret it. Be careful my friend, ex wives can be a lot of trouble.” Zach says ”And your wife did not look happy to see her.”
“Dottie’s got a big heart. She invited her to stay next door.”Tad says not convinced
“If you love Dottie you better make sure she knows she comes first. That’s all I’m saying tad.”Zach states
“She knows she does.”Tad says
Zach shakes his head. Then as Kendall comes back, he and Kendall leave.
“I know Hillary needed saving from that monster but I’m not so sure we did Tad and favours bringing her here.”Kendall says to Zach
“You saw it too?”asks Zach
“Oh yes Dottie is seething with anger. She doesn’t want Hillary anywhere near her family let alone Tad.”Kendall states
“I tried to warn Tad about that but he didn’t seem to hear me.”Zach says
“Yes sorry dear but most men don’t listen like you.” Kendall says smiling and kissing Zach
“Not everyone is as lucky as we are.”Zach says
“No there not now let us go home to our boys.”Kendall says
“Yes go team Slater.” Zach says ”It’s trick or treat night and my boys want to be hockey players.”
“What else would they be?”Laughs Kendall ” We ll go out take the kids for Halloween and come back to casa Slater.”
“And then do i get Tricks or treats?” asks Zach expectantly
“Maybe you’ll get both.” says Kendal flirting

“I just couldn’t let your friend be blamed for something I did Dad.”Natalia says
“Natalia whoever it is just tell me will find a way to protect them without you taking the fall for them.”Jesse says
“I did it that’s all there is to it now arrest me and put me in a cell or do I have to make Brot do it?”Natalia demands
“You will tell me NATALIA FOWLER.”Jesse yells
“No I did it accept it. I have.”Natalia says
“Very well. But believe me Natalia I’m not going to let this stand my daughter is not going to jail for something she didn’t do.”Jesse states
“Just drop it.”Natalia says
“I’m going to read you your Miranda rights now and for goodness sake don’t say a word until you get a lawyer I’ll call the best Jackson Montgomery for you.”Jesse says and then he reads her rights:

Brot comes in to the cell area and demands “What is going on?”
“Natalia has confessed to killing Mayor Blanco.” Jesse states

“What? Take it back Natalia .You know you didn’t do it.”Brot requests
Natalia shakes her head.
“Natalia please for us?” pleads Brot
Natalia shakes her head again and says
“Go!”
“No.”Brot says
“Son you know how stubborn she is find out who really this and come talk to me.”Jesse whispers as
“The case is over Monroe go.”Natalia says
“It won’t be over until I save you.”Brot says
“Let it go.”Natalia say tearing up
“Jackson is on his way.” says Jesse
“Good .I’ll be back.” Brot says leaving
“Dad get Brot to drop it.”Natalia begs
“I can’t.”Jesse says
“Do it please Dad?”Natalia begs
“No. I’ll be back Natalia, when Jack gets here.” Jesse says “In the meantime think this through we can get you out of this there’s nothing on record yet.”

Jesse goes back to his office and picks up his cell phone.
“Angie I need you can you come to my office again?”
“Thank-you. See you soon.”Jesse says as he hangs up and holds his head in his hands.

“The technicians have been here. There’s nothing left for us to find .Why are we here Brot?”
“They may have missed something. We have to find something your Dad is counting us.”Brot says
“Dad knows that we are doing our best.”Natalia says
“Well we have to do better.”Brot says
As Brot and Natalia start searching they hear the front door open and a young woman who is similar to Randi walks in. She hesitates for moment then starts up the stairs
“Stop right there.”Natalia says
“Who are you and what are you doing in my house?”Asks the woman
“I am Natalia Fowler of the Happy Valley police force who are you?”Natalia demands
“I’m Heather Blanco this is my house. Why aren’t you done? You arrested the scum that killed my mother so why are you here?”Heather demands to know
“Madame we have to have all the evidence we can to convict.”Brot says covering “as you notice when you came in the seal is still on. Have you entered the house since the shooting?”Brot asks
“No I just came today because I need something for the funeral. I need clothes for my mother to be buried in and to wear to her funeral.” Heather says
“Natalia will assist you with that.”Brot says
“I can do that by myself.”Heather says indignantly
“Sorry Ms. Blanco We need to contain any evidence for the investigation.”Brot says
“Fine.” Heather says as Natalia follows her up the stairs

Happy Valley Police station
Angie walks in as Jesse is in on the phone.
“Yes Governor we’ve made an arrest. Yes I know you were great friends with Mayor Blanco .No sir I am not covering for the criminal because he is my best friend. No sir that’s why I have taken myself off the investigation. My best cop is in on the investigation. Who? Brot Monroe. Yes he is war hero.” Jesse says “Yes sir .I will have Brot update you. Thank-you sir goodbye.”
“Damn interfering Bureaucrats! Tad’s not guilty but they just want this wrapped up with a tidy red bow.” Jesse says to Angie
“It will be okay Jesse .I know you’ll be able to prove Tad didn’t do this.” Angie says
“If I can’t find some evidence soon Tad is going to go to jail for this and they have the death penalty here. He could get the death penalty.”Jesse says severely worried
“Brot’s working on it and so is Natalia if here is anything to be found they’ll find it.”Angie says
“I hope so for Tad and his families’ sake.”Jesse says
Back at the Blanco mansion
Heather and Natalia come down the stairs. Heather is carrying two dresses.One white dress and one black dress
“We are so sorry for your loss Ms. Blanco.”Brot says
“Thank-you I’ll be going now .I hope you find something and convict the awful man who did this.” Heather says
“We’ll certainly try to convict whoever did this.”Brot says neutrally
“That’s all I can ask.”Heather says leaving
After Heather leaves Natalia turns to Brot and says
“Did you find anything?”
“No but be my guest if you can find anything in the den go ahead.”Brot says ”I’ll wait out here.”
Natalia goes in the den and searches for any clue to the killer. She gets on her hands and knees and sees in under the corner of what she thought was the desk is something shiny. “Oh dear now that is going to really shake things up. “Zach states
“Yes I think the junk is just about to hit the fan.” Kendall says “that man she’s calling Henry .It can’t be but I don’t think he’s name is Henry that’s Anton Lang .My first husband. How could he have become this abusive pig? He was sweet and kind and a doctor. I was young cruel obsessed with myself and my own needs and not the wife for him
“Anton Lang I thought he lived at Vadzel in Budapest Hungary.”Zach asks
“Yes me too I just don’t understand it. He looks like him but he doesn’t sound like him.”Kendall says

“So Anton is there? So who is Henry and why does he look like Anton?”Asks Kendall
“Everyone has a double or a doppelgänger the folklore of Germany. It actually means double walker. They believe according to folklore that if one is good the other is evil this must be Anton’s evil double. They also believe if one meets their double though you would die so let’s hope Anton never meets his. Henry is Dimitri’s son. Dimitri had a fling with Henry’s mother Georgia as a student here .She didn’t tell Dimitri but Anton heard rumours of his double here. Looking into it he found out the truth. They reached out to him but he hates them he wouldn’t even see them and he was raised by an abusive step-father and he emulates him.”
“My goodness and Hillary is married to that?”Kendall asks
“Yes it seems she is.”Zach says still watching hoping that Henry will leave so they can check on Hillary.
“He’s leaving.”Kendall says excitedly ”Let’s go talk to Hillary we can help her get away .We can take her to the new Miranda Centre in Happy Valley.”
“Wait a couple more minutes sometimes they circle back just to make sure the woman obeys.”Zach says knowingly
Seconds later Henry comes back into the house.
“You were right Zach. We would have been right there when he came back.”Kendall says
Henry leaves once again. Kendall and Zach patiently wait 10 minutes

“She may not want to leave you know. Some women are too frightened to leave.”Zach says quietly

“You didn’t file papers to rescind the adoption of Michael from Tad.”Kendall says
“Henry shoved some papers at me and told me I had to sign but I didn’t know we were filing to adopt Michael. Why would Henry do that?”Hillary
“Does Michael have any money?”Asks Zach
“Well each of the great grandchildren of Henry’s grandparent we’re left trust funds. Chloe has one but Henry controls it until she’s twenty one.”Hillary answers
“Is it possible Henry has used up all of Chloe’s trust fund?”Asks Zach
“I think you two should leave know I don’t even know you and you are saying such horrible things about my husband.”Hillary says
“I know you don’t know us but I know the type your husband is your in danger and so is your daughter.”Zach says “He hit you this morning you have a black eye below that make-up .how long do you think it will be before he hits Chloe.”
“I deserved this I didn’t listen to him and i left the house anyone could have grabbed us.”Hillary parrots
“Are you listening to yourself Hillary? He’s controlling you he doesn’t even let you go out of the house without him.”Kendall states
“He loves me.”Hillary insists
“Does he? When you were married to Tad did he hit you or did Bob Georgia hit you when you were married to him?”Asks Kendall
“No.”Hillary says
“Then why do you put up with it?’Kendall asks “Is this the relationship you want to show your daughter Chloe. Do you want her to grow up thinking this is normal?”
“No but it’s not easy to get away.”Hillary says
“My point exactly why should be hard to leave this house?” Kendall asks

“Well My sister started up a women’s shelter the Miranda centre and there a quite a few of them throughout the country now. There is one in Happy Valley where we live and Tad lives. We could take you an Chloe there they could help you deal with all of this?will you let us take you there?”Asks Kendall
“I don’t know.”Hillary says
“What don’t you know?” Kendall asks
“I don’t know what to do.” Hillary says staring at her daughter Chloe in a playpen
“Did you know Henry has emptied out both yours and Chloe’s trust funds?”Asks Zach accessing the internet on his phone
“No he wouldn’t. How do you know this?”Hillary says trembling
“I have some connections at the bank that holds the trusts and Henry managed to get around the restrictions and empty them out. That’s probably why he wants Michael to get at his funds too.” Zach states
“You’re lying he wouldn’t do this to me and Chloe.”Hillary yells
“Yes just like he has never hit you and then what brought flowers gifts to you afterwards promising never to hit you again and yet here you are again with a black eye.”Zach says
“I have to grab a few things for Chloe and I” Hillary says exceeding to the requests
“Let me help you we need to hurry before he comes back.”Kendall says
Kendall helps Hillary pack and they take everything out to the rented car.
“The Cambias Jet is at the airport we leave as soon as we get there” Zach says
They arrive and board the plane.
“Thank-you Mr. Slater, Kendall.”Hillary says

“I can hardly wait to see Tad again.”Hillary says
“He’s married.”Kendall says gently
“Yes Dixie .That’s her name.”Hillary says
“Dixie is dead.”Zach says “Tad remarried.”
“Who is he married to?” Hillary asks
“Dottie.” Kendall asks
“Dottie? Dottie found Tad again does that woman never give up?”Hillary asks
“Actually they have a son together .He’s name is Thaddeus James.”Kendall States “He’s a news anchor.”
“How old is he?” asks Hillary
“He’s about twenty eight.”Kendall answers
“Then she had him when they were married she really was pregnant but why did she walk away and says he wasn’t?”Asks Hillary shocked
“As I understand it Tad loved you. So she walked away so he could be happy with you.”Zach answers
“Wow she did love him.”Hillary says
“Yes and they’re very happy together.”Zach says

Hillary Wilson Georgia Martin Taylor continues out the door of the home. She looks behind herself and then to each side as if looking for someone. She looks frightened then she runs back in the house and pushes a stroller with a small child dressed in pink out the door. She gets as far as the curb when a car pulls up .A man about five feet eight inches burly and slightly overweight .His arms bulge from his black tee shirt he’s wearing with his black jeans. Hillary shrink, her body visibly crouching as if to ward off blows.
“Henry your home I was just taking Chloe for a walk.”Hillary says
“I told you to stay indoors today. I warned you what would happen if you went outside.”Henry says hitting her across the face.
“I’m sorry Henry.”Hillary says her lip bleeding profusely “I forgot. Please forgive me.”
Zach wants to go over and stop the man. Kendall stops him
“I think he’s stopped hitting her now. If we interfere now it could get worse for her. We’ll have to wait and then help her get away from that cretin.” Kendall explains
“What if we are wrong and he kills her?”Zach asks “Alexander was like that man he would hit my mother every time she disobeyed he’s dictates. He killed her.”

“I hope Zach and Kendall are getting somewhere with this woman. I can’t believe that this woman thinks she would be better for Michael. We love him he has family with us. How can she rip him out of our arms. ”Dottie asks

“Michael is worried. I know he senses some of our worry. I try to hide it but it’s so hard.”Dottie says

“But you still have those murder charges as well it’s like our whole world is falling apart.”Dottie say
“Dottie we will get through this we have strong family ties. The Martin’s have big hearts and strong arms that shelter all they love.”

“Binks?. How’s Reese? Uh huh. Reese is putting up another tower downtown huh. Wow she’s a busy woman. Yes Binks you’re making me blush of course she has as much time for you as Zach finds for me. Listen I need a favour Zach and I need to go out of town on business do you think you could watch Spike and Ian? You will thanks Binks you’re the best are you sure Reese won’t mind? The name we see of the woman is Hillary, Hillary Taylor as Kendall’s finger slips down the phone book .
“And we didn’t look this up on my I-phone or yours because?”Zach asks

Zach smothers a laugh and says” I got the address on my phone all ready.”
“Well so did I from that phonebook.”Kendall pouts
“Great work.”Zach says mollifying Kendall” we always make a great team.”

“Your honour Mr. Martin was found in the victim’s house with the murder weapon.” begins the new D.A. Frederick Boothe
“I object that is supposition your honour. My client was aiding the deceased who had been stabbed. .”Jack says
“That isn’t true Mr. Martin had the murder instrument in his hand.”Fred says heatedly
“Gentlemen we will get into this more at trial .And is said Mr. Martin a flight risk?” Olivia asks

“Don’t thank me yet Tad it’s an uphill battle, and before you get any ideas of investigating yourself that’s all ready being handled.”Jack says
“What do you mean it’s being handled?” asks Tad his eyes narrowing

“TAD? Tad has been arrested? He would do this they have the wrong person.”Jenny says upset
“Wong man.”Randi says
“Thanks Randi. We better hurry and finish It seems I have to find a babysitter and go to court for my brother.”

“I’m sorry Mrs Martin .He’s in the cells.”Natalia says” Would you like me to take you there?”
“Yes please Natalia. The girls are worried sick. Luckily T.J and Jaime are out of the country. I’m hoping we can get this settled and I won’t have to call either of them.”Dottie says
“You should probably call them Mrs Martin.”Natalia states
“Why?” Asks Dottie here eyes narrowing
“I’ll let Mr. Martin explain to you what happened.”Natalia says as she takes Dottie to tad in the cells
“Hi honey fancy meeting you here.” Says Tad joking
“It’s not funny Tad. Why are you locked up here?”Asks Dottie
“Have you heard about Colonel Mustard in the office with a knife?”Tad jokes
“Tad!” admonishes Dottie
“Well okay it’s Tad Martin in the closet while Colonel Mustard kills Iris Blanco.”Says Tad
“Are you saying you were there while Iris Blanco was murdered? Then why have they got you locked up and not the offender?” asks Dottie dumbfounded
“I didn’t see them and when I came out of the closet Iris was trying to take the knife out which would have caused massive bleeding so I tried to keep it in but she managed to get it out and she died.”Tad states
“I don’t understand why you’re here.”Dottie says
“She took the knife out and the police arrived and the knife was still in my hands.”Tad explains
“And they think you killed her? Surely Jesse knows you wouldn’t do that.” Dottie says
“Dottie honey, even Jesse can’t get me out of this one. If Jack doesn’t find out who did this or doesn’t leave doubt with the jury I’m going to jail” Tad explains

“Sorry Mrs. Martin but your time is up .You have to go now.”Natalia says

“Tad is a romantic of course he does.” Dottie answers “Besides we’ve only been married less than a year and we’ve loved a lifetime.”
“Yes I heard you were married once before. How do you know that getting married is the right thing? asks Natalia ”how do you know that he’s needs won’t over shadow yours?”
“I take it this is about you and Brot?”Asks Dottie
“We’re engaged but I keep putting off the date and Brot is getting impatient with me.”Natalia answers
“Do you love him?”asks Dottie softly
“Yes but I want to be my own person. You know? Brot needs someone to look after him as much as he says he doesn’t .He’s all cross about that but he loves when I pamper him. Yet he takes time to pamper me when I come home.”Natalia answers
“So do you feel you have a partnership? Can you say anything to him even if he gets mad?”Dottie asks
‘Yes.”Natalia answers immediately
“Then I think you’ve answered your own question.”Dottie says
“I have haven’t I. Thanks Mrs. Martin.”Natalia says
“Dottie please Mrs. Martin is my mother-in-law Ruth.”Dottie says
“Thanks Dottie maybe I can pick a date now. I wonder would you consider being a bridesmaid? Now that Randi can walk a little with her cane I’m hoping she’ll be well enough to be my Matron of Honour soon.”Natalia asks
“I’ll be happy to hopefully by then this will be all over .I have to go now. Goodbye Natalia and let me know the date.”Dottie says leaving
Natalia goes over to Brot’s desk where he’s just come in from investigating Iris Blanco’s murder.
“Do you have a couple of minutes Brot?”Natalia says
“Maybe just a couple for you.”Brot says smiling
“ I want to set a date for our wedding how about Thanksgiving?”Asks Natalia
“Really?” says Brot pleased but surprised
“Really on Thanksgiving I want to be Natalia Fowler-Munroe” Natalia says
“You decide to take my name?”Brot asks surprised and pleased again
“”Yes I figured it would be easier once we had kids if they had the same last name.”Natalia says smiling
“I love you Natalia.”Brot says
“I love you too but we are at work and we need to solve a case so let’s get back to work.”Natalia says but then looks around seeing everyone busy reaches down and kisses Brot on the lips. She straightens up and pretend she didn’t to the police in the station as Brot smiles happily.

The police station
“Tad? Why are you being brought to my police station?”Asks Jesse
“We found the perp standing over the body sir knife in his hand.” Explains the police officer
“What have you done now Thaddeus J. Martin.” asks Jesse
“I swear on my children’s lives I didn’t do this.”Tad says”I know it looks bad Jesse but you have to believe me.”
“I have to talk to this is officer sit tight Martin.” Jesse says
Jesse has a deep conversation with the officer as we watch with Tad from a distance. Jesse comes back to Tad’s side
“You have to believe me Jesse. I know how it looks but I didn’t kill Iris Blanco.”Tad begs
“I’m the police chief Tad and you’ve put in a bad position. I can’t favour you even if I believe you.”Jesse says “may advice call your lawyer and don’t say a word until he’s here. You’re going to need one. ”Jesse says
Jesse takes Tad into an interview room where he removes the handcuffs and hands Tad the phone. He then goes out into the outer room and barks
“Monroe.”
“Yes sir.” Brot says
“I’m recusing myself from this investigation because I’m so close to Tad but I expect to you to do a complete investigation in to this murder. “Jesse states
“Yes sir.”Brot says and starts by going to talk to the police officer who came on the scene of Iris Blanco’s murder
Jack arrives
“I’d like to see my client please.”Jack asks of Jesse
“Right this way counsellor.”Jesse says taking him Tad and leaving them alone
“So tell me Tad what happened?”Jack asks
“I went to the Mayor’s house and I heard something I hid in the closet. I heard some shouting.” Tad says
Flashback to Tad remembering and see him in the closet and realize the shouting was coming from Jesse
Flashback to Tad talking to Jack but not mentioning Jesse
“A number of other people came in. I heard footsteps voices. I think one of them must have stabbed Iris. I came out of the closet she was on the floor and she was trying to take the knife out of her back. I had to stop her Jack. I heard that you shouldn’t do that that the knife might be keeping you alive that once it’s out you die. And that’s what happened she manage to get it out and it was in my hand .The cops came in and she died .They arrested me.”Tad states
‘”You have gotten yourself in fine mess Tad. The police will investigate they’ll say you have motive opportunity and they caught you red handed. We can try and find the killer with an investigator but unless we do you’ll probably be convicted Tad.” says Jack
“I’m going to jail?”Asks Tad
“Not if I can help it Tad I’ll do my best.” Jack says “the first step getting you arraigned and out on bail.”
“Thanks Jack!” Tad says
“Thank me later Tad.” Jack says

Dottie’s restaurant
“Jackson thank –you for meeting us here.” Tad says
“Well you said it was urgent Tad so here I am.”Jack states
“Could you wait a couple of minutes for Dottie to join us she’s waiting on a waitress Connie who works for her. Connie has shown up yet but said she phoned and said she’d be here soon.”Tad explains
“Sure we could wait for Dottie but maybe you could explain whatever legal problem brings me here?” Jack says
“Well it all started soon after Mayor Iris Blanco got elected. We heard some scuttlebutt about her asking for bribes at city council but we had no real proof. “Tad states
“Really? I thought the Mayor was an upstanding individual. I haven’t heard any rumours.”Jack states
“That’s what I thought too but then a few people came to my P.I. agency wanting me to investigate city hall.”Tad says
“And you did?” Jack asks
“Oh yes of course I did but I could never really pin Mayor Blanco down to the kickbacks.” Tad explains
“So she’s innocent it was someone else at City Hall?”Jack asks
“Yes that was what I was beginning to think but then Mayor Iris Blanco got wind of my investigations.”Tad states
“And then what happened?” Jack asks
“All of sudden city hall is descending on Dottie’s restaurant like locusts. The first it was minor health violations then structure problems then more health violations. They’ve shut Dottie down 4 times.”Tad explains
‘And what do you want me to do Tad?’ Asks Jack
“Find me a way to keep them off Dottie’s back so I can get to the bottom of this. And then of course there’s T..J. someone has been threatening him if I don’t back off .I can’t let this go Jack I won’t!They’ve gone after my wife my son who’s next one of my other children. I ’m sending the kid to Mom and Dad in Florida until I get the goods on that bitch!”Tad says
“I’m going to have to look into this Tad health boards have a lot of power and jurisdiction over closures but I’ll do my earnest to find you a solution.”Jack says”actually Erica is having problems with that woman. Erica was kicked off some boards because that woman felt threatened by Erica’s prestige and don’t think I didn’t hear about that.”
“Something has to be done about that woman. Jesse told me something in confidence. He would mind me telling you as long as you don’t share it. Randi was taken by that woman from her mother and given away as a child.”Tad says
“How could she do that to child?” asks Jack
“I know. Randi has no idea she’s the mayor I hope she never finds out.”Tad says
“How is Randi doing Tad?”asks Jack
“She can walk short distances with a cane. However her language skills are still not there. She is working on it though Jenny brings Olivia to Andrews and they work there daily on language skills and a physical therapist comes in and works with her an hour each day.”Tad states”Jenny says Martin and Olivia enjoy the playtime together.’
“I’m glad to hear that. I hope her speech comes back soon” Jack says
“From your mouth to God’s ears.” Tad says
“I have to go Tad I’m due in court in a half hour but tell Dottie I’m working on your problem and you get working on the evidence against Mayor Blanco Tad.”Jack states
“Thanks Jack I owe you one.”Tad says standing up and shaking Jack’s hand.
Andrew’s house
Randi is watching television while lifting five pound hand weights to strength her hands and arms.
“We interrupt this program to bring you a live breaking story” the announcer breaks in
“Darn always during my soap couldn’t they wait until the 6pm news?”Randi’s nurse Betty says
“The city of Happy valley has been awarded a $100000 grant from the federal government to upgrade the roads in Happy Valley. Mayor Iris Blanco had this to say
“We are gratified that our talk with the federal government has come to this fruition. Our city will be able to fix a lot of roads with this funding. We want to thank Governor Brooks and Senator Brooks for all their assistance.”Iris says
Randi stares at the television and says
Noooooo. Noo blll bll Iwis.”Randi becomes very upset and crying
The nurse tries to calm her but when that doesn’t succeed she calls Randi’s Doctor Maria. Maria orders a sedative and the nurse gets Andrew to pick up the prescription from the pharmacy. Betty Randi’s nurse gives Randi the sedative in pill form .Randi closes her eyes and appears asleep. Satisfied the nurse goes down for supper. As soon as she’s gone Randi opens her eyes the and removes the pills from under her tongue. Randi sneaks cautiously trying not to thump her cane as she goes to the front door down the hall there she looks up Iris address on a computer. Finding it she goes out the front door to Iris’s house
Iris house
Tad is hiding in Iris home office when she suddenly comes home. He hides in the closet. Jesse comes as summoned to Iris has a meeting in the front hall with her and leaves. Jack comes knocks on the front door he enters and leaves. Erica comes to the front door knocks and then is shown leaving a short time later. Andrew comes to the house goes in and leaves. Tad gets out of the closet to silence thinks he can leave only to find Iris dead on the floor a knife in her back when he turns her over. She mumbles something he can’t quite understand and then she reaches and tries to frantically pull the knife out of her own back .Tad realizing the damage she could do touches the knife trying to keep it in. Iris’s body shutters a last death rattle and she dies.
As the police arrive Tad’s hand on the knife.“Sir step away from the victim and keep your hands up ”The police officer says
As Tad protests “I didn’t do this the police officer puts his hands in cuffs behind his back and reads him his rights.”

“So how is our girl today?” Asks Angie of Frankie at the hospital
“Very frustrated. I get the impression she thought she would be up and running around by now instead she still having trouble speaking clearly though the exercises are helping and she’s still having trouble moving across the room. I keep telling her her brain needs to rewire but it’s so hard for her.”
“Is some of the frustration also because you had to move in with Andrew now that she’s out of the hospital?”Asks Angie worried
“No she just wants to be the Randi she was. She keeps asking when she’ll get better enough to go back to Fusion.”
“I overheard that Frankie. Greenlee and I will be happy to have Randi back any time. Actually we don’t know whether Randi would consider this but would she consider model for the disabled community?”Asks Kendall
“What in the heck is the matter with you Kendall? Don’t you know what Randi’s been through? Do you think she wants to share that?”Frankie says angrily then walks away
“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to upset him Angie.”Kendall says bewildered
“Don’t take it personal Kendall .Frankie is worried sick about Randi.” Angie says as they watch Frankie storm away
“Is there anything Greenlee and I can do?”Asks Kendall
“Just be there go visit Randi encourage her. Tell her you’ll keep her modelling job open.”Angie says
“Easily done we will hire temporary models. The modelling job is Randi’s!”Kendall says ”Got to go Spike’s doctor’s appointment is in five minutes. He needs a booster shot. ”Kendall says as she takes Spike down the hall.
Angie looks down the hospital hall to see Jenny and Greg. Greg is pushing Jenny in a wheelchair as she grimaces.
“Is it time?”Asks Angie
“Yes .”Says Jenny through clenched teeth
“So who’s your doctor?”Asks Angie ”I’ll page him or her.”
“Page Dr. Caitlin Mc Gillis.” Greg says she’s Jenny’s Obgyn
“Paging Dr. Mc Gillis.” Angie says over the loud speaker
“Dr. Hubbard she’s delivery a baby in delivery room four.”Says the nurse who’s tag reads Cindy
“Thanks Cindy .how about I take a look while we wait for Caitlin to deliver that baby.”Angie says
“I think that’s a good idea Jenny’s pans are getting closer together.”Says Greg
“Give me drugs. I need an epidural.”Jenny shouts
“I’ll call an Anesthesiologist.” Angie says to Jenny
“But it may be to late.” she says to Greg
“This baby wants to be born your full effaced.” says Angie “So have you picked any names yet?”
“We were thinking Gregory Junior. The girls’ name is throwing us a bit Jenny says if it’s a girl she wants to see her before she names her.”Greg explains
“It will come to you.”Says Angie “push Jenny looks like this little child doesn’t want to wait.”
Jenny pushes and cries out as the newest Nelson is born.
“It’s a girl.” Angie says
“A girl Jenny .It’s another little girl looks a little like those pictures you showed me of Paulina. She’s beautiful Angie’s cleaning her up and then you can see her.”
“A fine healthy little girl. She’s tiny she weighs five pounds but she’s solid.”Angie says
“Jenny whispers to Greg who nods
“We’re going to call her Angela Olivia Susan Nelson.”Jenny say smiling through happy tears as she cradles her baby
“You’re naming her after me? Are you sure?”Angie says pleased and surprised
“You brought our little girl into the world it’s only fitting that she bare your name says Greg as Jenny nods
“There’s only one Angela so we‘re going to be calling her by her second name Olivia.”Jenny explains ”Olivia is a pretty name as well.’
“How did you think of he name Susan.” asks Angie
“Mama’s middle name is Sue but Sue doesn’t go as well as Susan. So Susan it is.”Jenny says
Angie looks back at the happy family and says
"We have to take Olivia to the nursery soon and Jenny to her room but you go ahead I'll give you two a few minutes with Olivia."
Angie thinks about when she had Frankie and wishes that she and Jesse had had another child as the camera pans back to The Nelson’s and their brand new baby girl baby.

“Hello Randi. I understand Frankie explained yesterday to you about your stroke.”Maria says
Randi nods
“Okay we also know means that we have a lot of work ahead of us.”Maria says”so that’s why the therapist is coming in a few moments.”
“Www” Randi says trying to say we
“Yes We. A team of medical professionals will be working with you to determine the best course of action to help you get on with your life.” Maria continues “so if you understand this nod your head.”
Randi nods
“Okay now have you any pain?”Maria asks
Randi points to her head.
“A lot of pain?” Maria asks Randi doesn’t make any movement.
“Or a little?” Randi nods to this
‘Okay let me check things blood pressure etc and then we can order something for the pain.”Maria says
“Tankoo.”Randi says
“That’s it you keep trying we will be working with a speech therapist to improve your speech and a physical therapist for your limbs.”Maria says “now I know all of this is scary but you have a lot of people who care about you and are there for you.”
Randi rolls her fingers on her left hand like she has money in them
“Cost?” Maria asks
Randi nods
“Don’t worry it’s covered.”Maria says
Randi shakes head in frustration
“It really is okay. Your grandfather Andrew is apparently very rich and very worried. Andrew is insisting on paying for everything to get you well. He says he missed on so much with you that he wants to help.”Maria says
“OOB.” Randi says
“Obligated? No if he chooses to pay for all that then that is his choice but I really htink he is doing it out of love Randi.”Maria states
“Ah huh here is your speech therapist .She may have to go in another month to have her baby and take maternity leave for a couple of months but she says she has a replacement set up. I believe you know of her Randi meet Jenny Nelson.”Maria says
“Hello Randi we met a few months ago at your dad’s party for Paulina, Greg and I.”Jenny says
“Ha.....’Randi says trying to say hello
“Okay I’m here to help you with that and some exercises to get some speech back. The exercises will strengthen your throat and neck. I know it sounds funny but the throat and neck as well as the voice box allow you to regain your ability to speak. We will also be using some visual aids with my trusting computer here to help you voice the sounds and pictures you see.”Jenny says
“Tanko.”Randi says
“I’m not going to pull any punches Randi this is not going to be overnight it will take time. At times you are going to get very frustrated and tired. If at any time you are overwhelmed exhausted to the point of needing sleep then you have to tell me by knocking with your left hand your good hand can you do that?”Asks Jenny
Randi demonstrates that by doing that
“Good so we begin. I want you to do this EEEEEEEEEEEEE.” sings Jenny
Randi complies singing “EEEEEEEEEEEE.’
“Wonderful” says Jenny then continues singing another letter
Frankie watches this from the hall as Angie comes along
“You need to take a break and refuel.” Angie says”You won’t be any good if you don’t keep up your strength. I checked in on Martin that boy is such a handsome guy takes after he’s Daddy has all the nurses fawning all over him.”
“He is that.” says Frankie”Randi is putting on a brave face but I can tell she’s scared who wouldn’t be?”
“She’s going to get better Frankie but she may not be the same Randi as before. You have to be prepared for that. “Angie says
“Mom I’m scared too.”Frankie says
“I know but you are my son that means you have inherited my strength and my ability to support those we love. You can do this son you can be there for Randi and Martin.”Angie says”I love you Franklin. You are the man and the father I always dreamed you would be.”
“I love you too mom I don’t know what I would do without you Natalia, Cass or Dad. Cass sent me some baby clothes for Martin. She sent me a Phillies baseball outfit for Martin and a tiny baseball bat and cap. How she found that in Paris i don’t know.”
“Yes she wanted to come but she can’t get away from her internship right now.”Angie says
“Yes she told me when she called on her cell phone. I told her there would be a huge cell phone bill and she said don’t worry her Dad was covering it.”Frankie states
“You have family to turn to Frankie don’t you forget that when it seems like it’s all too much. We’re here for you.”Angie says “and you have plenty of friends look how Jenny Nelson dropped everything and became Randi’s speech therapist.”
“Yes I was even aware she was trained in that.”Frankie says
“Her kidnapper Tony allowed her to train in that so she could look after her his father who had had a series of strokes. I don’t know how she managed to learn it all with a guard in the room and by her side at all times.” Angie says “she insisted she could help Randi .While she was on her honeymoon with Greg around the world she learned some new techniques to help stroke victims regain speech and she wants to use them to help Randi.”
“Greg was here early this morning he brought me breakfast and coffee from Dottie’s.Zach and Kendall dropped by with gifts for the baby and Randi from themselves,Erica and Jack. I am so lucky in friends aren’t I Mom?”Frankie says
‘We are blessed and God will bless us and get us through this challenge too!”Angie says “now come on Randi’s working hard we should get you some lunch and feed Martin at 1pm.”
