“She thinks I’m dead! Besides she’s getting remarried to the love of her life Jackson Montgomery!’ Mike says
‘I’d like to think that people who love each other love each other forever. She loved you once didn’t she?’Asks Yvonne
‘Yes but as I said she’s marrying Jackson!’Mike says ‘So what’s stopping you from telling her your alive and giving her the opportunity to know she has a choice rather than marrying Mr. Stick in the mud Montgomery. I remember Jack was the reason she lost Bianca to Travis!’ Yvonne says
‘I like the way you think Yvonne .So why are you here? Do you have a singing gig?’ asks Mike
‘Actually I have got one lined up but the reason I’m here is personal!’Yvonne says
‘How personal? You’re not going after Jesse are you? He and Angie lost twenty years and they don’t need any obstacles!’Mike says
‘Hardly! Jesse was always mad for Angie .If I thought I had a chance I’d make my move but I’d never reach him as long as Angie is around there is no other woman.’ Yvonne says
‘What’s up you don’t have a secret child of Jesse’s do you?’Mike jokes then seeing her face he says ‘You do?’
‘No but I have a daughter. A daughter who was stolen from me and told I was dead! I’ve searched for years for my baby and I’ve finally found her.’ Yvonne says

‘I saw my daughter in a catalogue for a cosmetic company here.’ Yvonne says

‘Yes you’ve heard of it?’ asks Yvonne “my daughter’s name is Randi!’

‘No I’m sure her foster family gave her a new one when they stole her from me’ Yvonne says

‘Angie and Jesse are her in- laws she’s married to Franklin their son!’ Mike says
‘No!She’s married to little Frankie?’ asks Yvonne shocked
‘Yes she is! They are very happy in fact my sources say they are expecting and Frankie has had his teen son move in with them temporarily!’Mike says
‘My baby is having a baby.’ Yvonne says crying for happy"and she's a step-mom.'
‘Maybe you should go talk to Jesse first and have him slowly pave the way. It’s going to be a shock for her and with her pregnant it might be good to have Angie there too! Although Frankie is a doctor.’ Mike says
‘My baby is married to a doctor and not just any doctor Jesse’s son?’ asks Yvonne looking extremely happy
‘Yes! Now would you like to call Jesse and Angie?’Asks Mike

‘Here’s the bathroom sport!’Frankie says “do you need to borrow some clothes. I have a pair of pyjamas you could borrow and ate shirt or two. Though they may be a little big on you! ‘
‘Thanks er Dad!’Andrew says
“I like that! Dad it has a nice ring to it!’ Frankie says
‘So you’re a Doctor. Do you like specialize?’ asks Andrew
‘I do surgery and sometimes I fill in the ER!’ Frankie says
‘Cool so you must to get to see organs and stuff!’Andrew says ghoulishly
‘Yes well that is part of the job!’Says Frankie trying not to laugh
‘The chicks must like it too!’ Andrew says as Randi frowns not only at chick but the fact that he thought Frankie would look around
‘I have the most beautiful woman in the world at my side so I really would notice. As for calling them chicks most women find that objectionable and gentlemen refrain from using that term.’ Frankie says
‘So what do you call them?’ asks Andrew sounding puzzled
‘Ladies!’ Frankie says looking to Randi for confirmation as she nods
‘Sure. So do you turn the ladies heads because you’re a doctor?’ asks Andrew
“Yes Randi do tell did it turn your head that I was a doctor.” Asks Frankie hiding a smile
‘Well I believe it was his kindness that appealed to me more than your Dad being a doctor! Your Dad wanted to help me and make me happy! He put himself before me!’Randi answers
‘Oh all that love stuff .Yuck I just want to have a girl like me maybe enough to go out with me!’ Andrew says scoffing
‘So what are your interests Andrew do you like baseball? Soccer? Any other sports?’ Frankie inquires
“I’m on the basketball team but I also play baseball and soccer! I love soccer! Coach says The scouts would like me to play for the under 20’s next fall’ Andrew says “course then I have to give up the other sports. I just wouldn’t have time!’Andrew says
‘Wow! I’m not as familiar with soccer but I have been watching the World Cup and it was cool to see us win!’Frankie says
“I know and what a spectacular goal!’Can you believe so close to the end of the game!’ Andrew says genuinely enthralled talking about soccer
“I’m going to leave you guys to talk about soccer! You’re bed’s all made up Andrew!There’s food in the fridge Andrew help yourself if you’re hungry but save me a piece of birthday cake!’Says Randi smiling at the bonding betweeen Frankie and his son “Goodnight guys. See you in the morning.
Randi goes into their bedroom while Frankie and Andrew continue to analyze the soccer game!

"What?' says Randi, Angie and Jesse all at the same time. Angie recovers first and says

“Mia Saunders. But I’m adopted! William explains
‘Mia is mother? Frankie is this true? You never told me that you and Mia...let alone that you had my grandchild!’
“Frankie you gotta lotta explaining to do!’Jesse says noting Randi’s look of shock
Randi seems to pull herself together and says
“Hi! I guess I’m your stepmother Randi Hubbard.’ Holding out her hand
“Hi’ William says shyly “oh dear am I interrupting something he says looking around
“You’re not interrupting anything is he Frankie? ‘says Randi then she says conspiratorially “It’s my birthday so I can invite anyone I like so you’re invited!’

“Son, I’m not only your grandfather I’m the police chief of Happy Valley and unfortunately I have to leave’ Jesse says before has to leave on police business “but this here is your Grandma Angie she’s wanted a grandchild for a long time! ’Jesse says pushing Angie to William
‘Hello I’m your Grandmother Frankie’s mom .Were so very glad to meet you. I’m afraid your father must have been really hurt to lose you as he didn’t tell your grandfather and I about you!’Angie says instinctively covering for Frankie’s shortfall
‘Oh so he didn’t want me!’ William says dejectedly reading into it and asking with his eyes Frankie to deny it
‘Son when I found out about you it was years later and I came to visit you remember?’Frankie says
‘Yes I remember!’ William says as we flashback to Mia and Frankie visiting William at his adoptive parents home.
‘Well I was really young when we conceived and your mother found out he was pregnant with me and she was afraid of ruining my chances to become a doctor so she didn’t tell me about you! She did what she thought was best.’ Frankie says
‘I know she thinks she did but I wanted to meet my father.’ William says
‘I can understand that because I think about you all the time too son!’Frankie says
‘You do?’ asks William surprised

‘Did your father put you up to this? You put your father on this phone right now!’ says Mia
“Why don’t you go talk to your grandmother over there’ Frankie says taking the phone and making sure that William can’t hear the conversation!
‘Mia it’s me Frankie!’Frankie says as Randi looks on and looks jealous
‘Franklin Hubbard you send my boy home now! How dare you?’ Mia says into the phone
“How dare you Mia my son’s adoptive parents die and do I get a call a letter saying you have custody? Snarls Frankie “Why no I didn’t! It’s just like before you take everything in your own hands! We created this child he’s my son too and don’t you forget it again. Now my son is going to stay with his father for a few days and then he can go home to his mother!’
‘You are not going to discuss issues about my son I have custody!’ says Mia
“And I am married stable I am doctor! Let see my son also wants to be with me if we took this before a judge who would win?’Frankie snarls
‘I’ll be there in happy Valley the day after tomorrow .Have my son ready to go!’ Mia snarls back
‘I’m hanging up now Mia see you in two days. Bye!’Frankie says
Walks over to William and says
‘Good news William! You’re mom says you can stay!’
‘Oh how long can I stay?’ asks William
‘A couple of days then your Mom is going to miss you too much and come and get you says Frankie
“Good! then looks shyly at Randi “are you sure it’s okay with your wife?

‘I’m not heartless you know Hayward! My daughter loves the bum! He hasn’t a job and I’d like to see him be able to support her and his child. A man needs to be able to feel he can do that.’ Adam says looking embarrassed

‘I got a job offer and I took it! Dr. Hayward has offered me a research job in the pathology department I’m starting on the ground floor but it’s exciting work in Gene therapy !do you know how many people I could help with this?’ Asks Pete excited!
‘Congratulations, my boy! You do my daughter proud!’ Adam says shaking a surprised Pete’s hand as Colby smiles at her dad and so does Krystal both proud of Adam
“Oh Pete I’m so proud of you!’Colby says hugging Pete “and look here is our baby!’

‘Okay then come on Pete let’s go see about our baby ! I’m sure it’s a girl!’ she gushes taking Opal’s arm
‘Jesse were coming out and you can drive us to the hospital so Kira can see a doctor. A doctor for her baby you know!’ says Opal cryptically
“We’ll all take Kira to the doctor!’ says Jesse understanding then adding’ Congratulations momma and Granny!’
‘See what I tell you?’ asks Opal of Kira
‘I’m so happy i promise I‘ll be a good daughter=in-law and make Pete so happy!’ Kira promises smiling
Jesse puts her in the back seat with Opal and Pete in the front seat. They arrive at the hospital where they take Kira to an exam room
‘Who are you? You aren’t Dr. Clater!’ screams Kira ‘Where’s Dr. Clater Mother Cortlandt you promised a baby doctor!’
“I’m Dr. McGillis my sister is Dr.Seabrooke the baby doctor i’m jsut filling in for her!’ Caitlin says

‘I’d like to take some blood if that’s okay to check the baby!’ Cailtin says

“Are you sure you’re the right woman to handle this?”Opal asks “I know she took my boy but she didn’t hurt him and he told me what she went through! She needs a lot of help and you just got out yourself from the funny farm.’

Caitlin gets the blood tests back that confirm Kira is not pregnant! She says
“I need to take more blood Kira ‘
Okay go ahead I better get used to be a pin cushion!’ Caitlin injects Kira with a sedative
“ That wasn’t taking blood you’ve done something to me! Kira complains grabbing Opal’s hand scared “I want Pete! I want my Pete she starts yelling!’

Some day you’re going to find the right person for you not someone who is just nice to you! Someone who can love you! Because my Palmer was right about people and you are special! “She had you’re pregnancy test she said it was hers.’ Pete explains
“Thank god she’s not pregnant?’ asks Colby
“No just really, really ill. I feel sorry for her Colby her life has been one big letdown after another!’
‘I guess I can find it my heart to forgive her and feel sorry for her. I was mean to her in high school! I regretted it but I should have never said such cruel taunts to her! ‘And our baby’s not harmed!Colby says ”she is locked up right though she can’t hurt us again?
‘No she’s under doctor’s care Mama got her into the doctor .She with her now!’Pete says
“Your mother has a big heart! I think that’s where you get it Pete!’ Colby says kissing him
“Are you sure you and the baby are okay?’ Pete asks again needing reassurance
“I have a concussion that’s what Dr. David told me.“He’s making me stay overnight!’ Colby complains
‘You just do what they say! I was scared out of my mind for you when Kira told me she had you in the closet!’ Pete remembers
‘We’re both okay now but you husband go let Jake check you out and make sure everything fine! Our baby needs his/or her Daddy in great shape!’Colby says as Pete obeys going with awaiting Jake

Colby gets out of the closet and phones 911.
“Hello! This is Colby Chandler-Cortlandt my husband Peter Cortlandt has been kidnapped at gunpoint!’ she says into the phone quickly
‘Madame could you repeat that?’ asks the operator
‘Oh forget it!’Colby says exasperated “Put Jesse Hubbard on the phone! Now!’
“Madame could you just tell me the problem?’Tries the operator once more
‘Do you know who I am? Colby asks imperiously ‘Now put Jesse Hubbard on the phone before I use my influence and have your job!’
‘I’ll see if I can patch you through to Chief Hubbard! Hold please!’ the operator says
‘Hubbard here!’ answers Jesse
“Oh thank God!’Colby says’ She has Pete she took him at gun point! She claims she’s pregnant with his baby but so am I!’
‘Slow down Colby. Who took Pete?’ Jesse demands
‘Kira Kinsmen or should I say Katrina something!’Colby says
“Would that be Katrina Cousins?’ asks Jesse
‘Oh my god that was Katrina Cousins? But she’s skinny and she’s wearing designer clothes!’ Colby sputters
“Do you know her Colby?’Asks Jesse on route to Pete and Colby’s into the car radio!
‘Yes!’Says Colby quietly ‘I went to school with her. I am ashamed to say that I and some of my friends were unmercilessly cruel to her. I tried to make it up to but she hated me and who could blame her?
Oh my God is that why slept with Pete she took Pete, just to hurt me?’ asks Colby
‘I don’t know her motives Colby but are you okay?’ asks Jesse arriving and coming up to the apartment
‘I have some bruises .My hands hurt. She has my Pete and he said he loved her!’Colby cries falling into Jesse’s arms
‘It’s going to be okay Colby. Tell me anything you heard so we can get Pete back!’ Jesse says
She said she was pregnant and she said they were going back to her apartment and then they would honeymoon in Europe!’ Colby answers remembering
‘And when Pete said he loved her what was going on?’ asks Jesse
‘Someone had untied me !PETE? and she was going on about how she loved him!’ Colby replies ‘then she said they were going too Europe! She said she would shoot me and Pete said he loved her’ Colby says
“ He was protecting you Colby ‘Jesse says
‘Do you really think so?’ Colby says then she says “my head hurts and collapses
‘This is Chief Jesse Hubbard I need a bus for a kidnap victim .She’s breathing but unconscious with head wound. ETA?
“Five minutes sir!’ comes the voice over the radio
‘A want APB put out on a Katrina Cousins aka Kira Kinsmen. Five foot six blonde, honey blonde curly hair waist length, blue eyes,21 years old ,looks 24 or 25 however. Do not apprehend approach only with caution if necessary .Notifying me immediately of perps whereabouts!!
‘Yes chief!’
The EMT’s arrive
“What the status of the patient?’ The one EMT asks the other accessing her
“21 Year old female .Kidnap victim! She has a wound on the head lacerated wrist. Bruises and contusions.
“She’s pregnant too!’Jesse interjects
“Do you know how many weeks pregnant? Asks the EMT
“I don’t know I don’t think to long because she just told me!’Jesse says
The EMT’s load Colby into the ambulance and race to Happy Valley Hospital where they are met by the new neurologist Dr. Thomas Cho.
‘Give me all the information on this patient .Dr. Cho slurs to the nurse as he checks Colby. ’I want a MRI of the head and ....’
“But Doctor the patient is pregnant”
“Oh right thanks for catching that for me nurse!’Dr. Cho says “Oh this poses a dilemma! Ultrasound then’
‘Okay doctor!’Says the nurse
‘Doctor is there aproblem here?’Asks David observing that Dr. Cho is drunk. Go sleep it off doctor I’m taking over this case says David
“Who do you think you are ?’Asks Dr.Cho
“As of five minutes ago I am the controlling interest in this hospital’(thanks Mom David thinks).
“And I’m just suppose to believe that?’ hiccups Dr. Cho
“I really don’t care what you believe . I’m going to give you one chance being the wonderful person I am. I’m giving you notice you will not report for duty in my hospital until you can show me papers from your stay at rehab! Then and only then will you attend patients plus you will take anbus be tested before each shift before you come near my patients!’
Dr. Cho throws a clipboard at David and takes off.
“Nurse Avril I want an affidavit about Dr. Cho’s behaviour tonight! Your impressions you’re diligence in saving the patient’s life? Complete it after we finish with the patient!’ says David
“Yes doctor!’Says Avril
‘How is she?’ asks Liza running in to the room unstoppable followed by Adam and Krystal.
‘I’ve just assessed her but she has a head injury which we need to check out !she has brusies and contusions. Just then Colby wakes up
“Mommy she took Pete! She’s got Pete !’ Colby says as Adam and Liza rush to comfort their daughter
“It will be all right Baby Daddy will get him back!’Adam says promising her what she wants to hear
‘You listen to your Daddy ‘Krystal says “you’re Daddy will get Pete back!
“Did I hear you mention my boy Pete?’Opal says pushing the cart for her volunteer work at Happy Valley
“Why Colby what are you doing her here? And why so are you so bruised? Was it an accident? Should I call Pete?’ asks Opal
“Opal Pete’s been kidnapped!’Krystal tells Opal
‘No not my boy!’ Opal says moaning!

Jesse in his patrol car
“Okay so the perp is in the apartment over Gregors on my way! Don’t approach or alert until I get there!’Jesse says
He arrives to the police who his has situated there talking to K ira over a bullhorn!
“He’s my fiancé .He wants to be with me all of you go away! Kira shouts out the window of the apartment then pulls her head back in

Colby and Peter’s apartment
Kira is waiting in Colby and Pete’s bed
“Colby where are you sweetheart I’m home!’Pete says as he comes in the apartment door not finding Colby he walks through the living room opens his bedroom door and sees Kira in his bed
“Kira what are you doing here?’Pete asks
“I had to come and see you my love she was keeping you from me!’ Kira says
“Who was keeping you from me?’ asks Pete humouring Kira
“Why that witch Colby Chandler of course. She always knew you were my true love that we were soul mates.’ Kira says
“I don’t understand Kira we only met a couple of days ago!’ Pete says trying to make sense out of what Kira is saying he thinks ”I hope she didn’t do something to Colby!’
“Well that explains it .’Kira says ‘That explains why you didn’t recognize me and call me by my real name.’
“Recognize you?’Pete says puzzled
‘Silly you don’t have to pretend anymore she can’t hurt you!’Kira says
“Who can’t hurt me?’ Pete asks and then as the thought occurs to him he says ”Colby? What have you done to Colby?’
“Nothing not compared to what she and her gang did to me in high school. Do you know they shut my locker and I was there until the janitor came in the next day? Colby and her cronies tortured me day and night. They texted horrible things about me they said horrible things to my face. They called me fat they made fun of my clothes. Do you know how I lost my virginity? I snuck into Colby’s sweet sixteen party on the yacht and some awful boy cornered me and he was nice to me and he gave me a drink .The drink was spiked and when I was unconscious he raped me! He told me afterward that I was lucky that he did I was so fat and gross no one else was going to touch me! Then he laughed and told me that he had won a bet with one of Colby’s friends who had bet him $50 that he couldn’t bed me! I went home and told my mom and she said it was my own fault that I was fat and that I allowed myself to be bullied! She told me you can be bullied or be the bully. She took me for an abortion. And then she said don’t let this happen again! Like it was all my fault! Time and time again she said that it wasn’t fair that she had a daughter like me instead of Colby! Colby this Colby that always Colby but I saw you at school and you were so sweet you told them to get lost and leave me alone! I think I fell in love with you then especially after you told him to get lost or you were going to send him into tomorrow! You were the only one who could see past my weight!’ Kira says with hero worship written on her face
“Katrina is that you?’ asks Pete realizing who she was
“I knew you’d know me it’s just like Beauty and the Beast. I was under a horrible spell that made me fat and ugly but you came along and made me feel beautiful just the way I was!’Kira says wiping tears from her eyes. I lost weight when Mommy died. I couldn’t believe that she would choose Colby for her daughter or me! She pretended she was Liza Colby –Chandler. She abandoned me and went to play Colby’s mother! Colby takes everyone who is mine but she couldn’t keep you could she Pete because you love me! you proved it when you made love to me!’
“Oh Katrina I’m so sorry people have been so cruel to you sweetie!’Pete says with heartfelt sadness for the young girl Katrina was and the heart ache she went through ”but you have to tell me what you did with Colby !
“See I knew you love me! But this ,this really proves it!’ says Katrina holding up a pregnancy test
“Katrina are you saying you’re pregnant?’ asks Pete
“Yes isn’t it wonderful! Our love made a baby!’ Katrina says
‘Katrina I’m married I will look after my child but I’m married to Colby!’Pete says gently
‘Don’t say her name again!’Katrina says “putting her hands over her ears
‘ Katrina where is Colby?’Pete asks trying to pacify her “if she’s in danger how can we be together?’
“Oh she’s okay!’Kira says then seeing his face “you’re so sweet Peter you worry about everyone! Colby in the closet .We should leave her there and go to my apartment. I promise if you come with me I’ll call someone to let her out.’ Katrina says now brandishing a gun she pulls out of the coat she's putting on!
“Why are you holding a gun Katrina? You don’t need a gun you said we were soul mates remember?’Pete says
“You’ll want to rescue Colby! Because you’re a nice guy Peter but our baby needs her daddy!’Katrina says “we’ll go to my apartment collect my things and then it’s off to Europe on our honeymoon! I have some money from mother and my nursing salary!’
“Please Katrina allow me to untie Colby she’s unconscious anyway!’Pete says seeing Colby trussed up in the closet.
“I suppose since you’re coming with me I could let you do that!’ says Colby ‘Please be okay Colby!’Pete whispers as Colby stirs
“Come on you untied her now let’s go! I’ll call as soon as we have my stuff so she can get help for her headache!’Katrina says waving the gun threatening like “You wouldn’t want me to short her now would you?’
“Of course not I’m coming now. Will go to your apartment.’ Pete says pacifying Katrina
“I’m so happy you and I will have a wonderful Honeymoon Pete!See I have the tickets right here!’Katrina(Kira) says holding up plane tickets and see my passport it says Katrina Cortlandt. And I have you passport right here she says holding up Pete’s that she found in a drawer. Then when he doesn’t move she says “ I really could shoot her it would solve everything!’
“No please Katrina she’s not worth it you know I love you!’Pete lies
But Colby just waking up hears it as they leave the apartment!

“What about her? I noticed she isn’t coming anymore. I didn’t like her much I’m glad she’s gone!’Mike says

‘She was a phoney! She’d be all nice to the male adults and Kathy but she acted like I was a nuisance!’Mike says
“I wish you’d said something I had no idea and me a detective! You’d make a great detective you have great perception about people!’ Tad praises
“Hmm I saw her at the school one day. She was hanging around the school yard one day waiting for Greg and Harold Cousins. Their dad asked her to pick them up and take them to his bar Gregors! They said she was their cousin and laughed saying that was her last name too but is her name Kinsmen don’t you find that odd?’ asks Mike
“Mike you don’t know how much you’ve helped me .I think she using phoney name and know you’ve given me her last name! Wait a minute did you say Cousins and their dad owns the bar Gregor’s!?’Ask Tad
“Yes their last name is Cousins and their dad owns Gregor’s! In fact they were telling me Kira wasn’t her real first name either it’s a short form she picked out from her real name! Her real name is Katrina .Don’t know how you get Kira from Katrina. They were saying she had lost two hundred pounds .She was really unhappy when her mom died awhile ago and she didn’t eat she just exercised! ‘Mike continues
“Did you happen to hear her Mom’s name was it Amanda?’ asks Tad
“Yes that was her name!’Mike says

Colby and Peter’s apartment
Kira is waiting in the closet for Colby to come home. Colby comes in the door sets down her purse she goes to go into the bedroom when Kira comes out of the closet and hits her with a vase. Colby falls to the floor unconscious .Kira ties her up to a chair and places her in the closet gagging her! Kira then goes into the bathroom puts on a sexy negligee and climbs into the bed to wait for Pete“Hurry up Peter my love I’m waiting and we have so much to share including this ‘she says aloud holding out a pregnancy test which confirms she’s pregnant!
