"Glad you like them !Dottie picked them out the day before our wedding!The only thing I insist is that you show modesty with those low wasted pants and wear a belt we don't want to embarrass the ladies in this house.Oh and pajama pants and shirts must be warn outside of this room!I hate to bring this up but we also have a rule in this house that no one enters anyone elses bedroom without knocking! If there's a set time for studying you want then you let everyone know and we will try to respect that and not disturb you!'

"I don't want to leave you guys alone so Ma.ma's coming for awhile well I go back up to visit Kathy this evening!'says Tad
"Don't be bringing her fast food Tad unless you get it from my restaurant .My chef knows how to make heart smart foods!It's on our menu if you look!'says Dottie'what's more they taste devine!It wouldn't hurt you to start thinking about eating some heart smart foods either!'says Dottie
"I all ready found that out that's where I got the food I brought her yesterday!What would you like for dinner I could go to your restaurant and have them make anything you want !'says Tad
"Oh Tad says Dottie giggling "I thought I was marrying a man who cooked !
"I'll show you cooking !'he says laughing and gently taking her in his arms and kissing her!

Jesse is spending time with Natalia trying to keep her in bed!
"I should be up and running around how else can I get less sore!'complains Natalia
"You heard your doctor,David says no getting up except to visit the little girl's room says Jesse
"But it's so boring here!'All I can do is eat and sleep!'compalins Natalia
"You almost died Natalia your body needs to rest to recover!That's an order not only from your Dad but your boss if you want to come back to work!'says Jesse
"You're Dad is right!says Brot"you don't know how scared we were!'Please Natalia you have to rest up my new partners a dork!You know Jim Parner!'
"You put him with Jim Parner Dad he's barely out of the academy and he can't shoot properly I don't know how he passed the test!"says Natalia
"See that's why you have to do what your told and get better!Save me Natalia get better!
"Well if you put it that way!'says Natalia "I guess I'll have to save you from Jim!'
Seconds later Jim arrives
"Oh hi Jim I hear your partnering with Brot here!'says Natalia

"Daddy I need $20 dollars for the trip and this permission form signed !'say Jenny as Tad using his computer and sitting at the table in the kitchen isn't listening
"Daddy did you hear me?'asks Jenny "I don't know why I bother talking To you anymore I don't matter to you!says Jenny under her breath
"What what did you?' says Tad coming out of his fog
"I asked you to sign this and give me twenty dollars!'says Jenny beligerently
"Here you go is twenty enough what did you need it for anyway?asks Tad
"if you had bothered to listen to me you would have heard me!'says Jenny"I'm going on a trip to the aquarium we hve to pay $20 dollars for the bus .Oh and I need another $10 for lunch!' she adds
"Jenny I realize that your getting older and I didn't quite listen to you this morning but there's no need for you to take that tone with me!'says Tad taking out his wallet handing her $30 dollars and the signed permission slip
"Whatever!'says Jenny accepting the money and the permission slip and then stalking off
"What's gotten into her?'Tad wonders"Jenny hurry up if you want a ride the car's leaving in 5 minutes!' yells Tad up to Jenny's room
"I'm coming hold your horses!' yells Jenny
"Jenny just hurry up will you!'
"I'm coming don't leave without me !'yells Jenny

Tad drops Jenny off at school and heads to the hospital
Meanwhile at Jenny's school

"Bah so what did they think about me did they talk to me and now my Dad is bring home some twerp Michael cause he feels sorry for him.Did he ask me about that? No! It's Jenny I'm getting you a brother you like having another brother to take my attention away from you!'complains Jenny
"Really Jenny don't you think your exaggerating just a little and feeling sorry for yourself?'asks Rose
"No and what's it to you?'asks Jenny

Tad is entering Dottie's room with a huge bouquet of roses
"For me?"asks Dottie surprised and pleased "this is so sweet of you Tad!I'm going home as soon as Marissa get's here and signs the papers!'Dottie says
"Are you sure ?Everythings checked out good no lingering effects?' asks Tad
"No sweetie I'm good but Kathy's not I went down to her room this morning to see her and sh was off having tests!wha aren't you telling me Tad?'asks Dottie
"Can't get anything by you can I ?'says Tad with a goofy grin
"Tad quit stalling is it that bad?'asks Dottie
"David's not sure what's wrong but he thinks she might have something wrong with her heart!"
"her heart ?oh Tad but he can fix it right?'asks Dottie
"I don't know Dottie!'says Tad
'And your scared !It will be okay honey David is a great doctor! He'll figure out the problem and fix it !'says Dottie
"From your lips to God's ears !'says Tad and then on another train of thought he says changing the subject"Michael's coming home with us this afternoon!'
"Really Tad that's wonderful!I'm sure he's going to love his new room and life with us!
"I hope so!' says Tad"Okay all set to go Dottie I've signed the papers!'says Marissa coming in
'Oh good did you sign Mike out too?asks Dottie
"I'm going to go get Mike then!'says Tad"Can you take Dottie downstair to my car?'asks Tad of Marissa
"yes I'll do that bye Tad!"See you in a few minutes!"
"Okay so now Dottie you are both good to go now! Here is a prescription for Mike's meds and Dottie if you have any lingering headaches you come back and see me okay!'says Marissa
Tad enters Mikes' room to take him home and collects him.

David comes in shuts the door and says to Kathy
"Is your Dad around?'
"No he's visiting Mike!'says Kathy
"Good says David then we can discuss your test results in private!'says David
"But Dad will want to know!'says Kathy
"But you might not want him to know this Kathy!'says David
"Know what ?'asks Kathy
"That your pregnant!'says David
"Say that again I heard you wrong!' says Kathy
"You're pregnant it's early days yet there's still time to have an abortion!'says David matter of fact
"You're saying I'm pregnant I'm going to have a baby?'There's no doubt?'asks Kathy"but it was only once!' shocked gasping for air and clutching her chest.David places an oxygen tube under her nose and tells her
"Breathe in slowly breathe out!'There better now?""It only takes that once!"You have time you now there's time to decide what you want to do!'I'm finding your heart problem though a little worrisome though I'd like to make some more tests and have you see a Doctor friend of mine should you decide to go ahead with this pregnancy!'says David
'Don't tell my Dad .Oh God how am I going to tell him?"says Kathy scared
"You're my patient! You're an adult privacy rules prevent me form telling Tad anything with ut your permission !'But you know if Rose was pregnant I'd want her to tell me so I could support her!"says David
"I can't I can't tell him not yet anyway!'says Kathy emphaticly
"Okay don't worry just rest for now I won't tell Tad.Is it okay if I tell him about your heart condition?'asks David
"Yes but be careful Dad's good at ferreting secrets!'
"Don't worry Ksthy I'm good at keeping them says David
Tad comes in Kathy's room with fast food in a bag for her!
"Do you have any idea how bad that stuff is for your heart Tad?'asks David
'Don't worry I know my girl I got her all healthy choices!Very little salt! A fruit cup and a salad ,Chicken salad!No dressing says Tad"and some vegetables carrots,,broccoli and cauliflower !One drink all juice no artificial sugars!'
"Good until further ntoice this patient has a heart smart diet!'says David gruffly
"Thanks Daddy that sounds good !'says Kathy"but I really wish you'd gotten some strawberries!'
"I'll bring you some tomorrow when I come to visit you and Dottie just before I take Mike home!'
"How is Mike?' asks Kathy
"Raring to go home I hope!'says Tad
"Oh Daddy I'm sure he'll love our house !It will become hme for him!"says Kathy
"I really hope so!'says Tad
"How's Dottie ?'asks Kathy

"It could be I have to do some tests and I may want to consult with a colleague of mine Dr. Colleen Seabrook!
"It's that serious?could it be genetic I mean Dixie had that heart problem and the kidney problem!'asks Tad worried out of his mind
"It could be partly genetics but the drug Tuggle used as something that caused an allergic reaction in Kathy and I fear we may find it did damage!'says David
"Is this something you could fix David?'asks Tad
"I don't know as I said I have to do a lot more tests" says David
Tad comes back in the room and Kathy looks for comfirmation that Tad doesn't know seeing him smiling and David shaking his head behind Tad's back she relaxes
"So you need some more tests that's okay !Better to get to the bottom of this and David's one of the best int he world thoughhe says his coleague Dr.Seabrook is also good !'says Tad reassuring to Kathy

"I don't know as I said I have to do a lot more tests" says David

Tad has said goodbye to a grief stricken Jake whom Amanda took home and he's made a trip to Dottie's for food!Opal has Ruth at Tad's!
Tad entering Mike's room! Mike is watching the news seeing Tad he shuts it off!Tad is hiding something in both hands behind his back
"I didn't think I'd see you again" says Mike
"But I told you I'd be back "says Tad
"Yes but after you decided that you would be my foster Dad that's when all that bad stuff happened to you!I brought you bad luck why would you want me?"asks Mike
"Bad things happen to a lot of people but you didn't bring me bad luck!' says Tad
"But your wife got kidnapped and your daughter!That was my bad luck that rubbed off on you!"says Mike in all seriousuness
"Michael I told you this before my biological father was a very bad man !I thought like you that because of that I was somehow taint that people who cared about me would have bad thing befall them!But my father Joe he told me like I'm telling you now that I didn't have anything to do with the bad things that happened!And that I jus had to beleive that good things could happen!Good things are hapening now.My wife is safe my daughter is safe and tomorrow you are coming to live with me and my family.now atht may take some getting used to havinga ll thos girls around as your sisters but it will sure help me out kind of even it out a little you know!"says Tad smiling

Don't lie to me Tad he has her doesn't he Billy Clyde Tuggle that evil man has our Kathy!'says Dottie fighting him
"Dottie I won't lie to you she's hear and David's looking after her!I don't know how she is yet but he's the best he'll fix Kathy!'says Tad still holding her close
"It's true mom! Kathy is here and David is fixing her !"says T.J.
"I have to go to her I have to see for myself" says Dottie"that your little sister is okay!' she insists to T.J.

Part 20 -The Disapppearance of Emily-Ann
Happy Valley Hospital
“Officer Fowler was taken straight into the OR Dr.Hayward one of the finest heart surgeons in the world is working to remove the bullet!"shares the nurse as Jesse who had just come in the hospital to see how is daughter was visibly pales and almost colapses into Tad .
OR 4
David is feverishly trying to save Natalia who has been placed on a heart lung machine so that he can operate.
"How's the patient looking Harvey ?'David asks the anaesthetist
"A little shocky there for awhile but looking better" says Harvey'All within normal range he says looking at the staus of the patient
"Suction" says David as he removes blood to get at the bullet."nurse I can't see complains David as the nurse cleans he sweat from his brow
"There got it !'says David as he removes the bullet sewing up the damage done by it and placing it in a container
David stops the heart lung machine and shocks Natalia's heart into sinus rhythm.Alarms go off
"God damn it Natalia stay with me!' says David frustrated
"1200cc epi!'shouts David as he plunges that into Natalia's heart shocks it again and Harvey says
"Normal sinus rhythm and David says
"Hang in there Natalia your stepmpther would hound me to the hounds of hell if something happened to you!'Nurse take the patient to ICU!says David
David comes out goes straight to Jesse who's been joined by Angie ,Brot ,Frankie and Randi!they all look at him expectantly
"Jesse "David says "I'm not going to pull any punches.I removed the bullet but it was very delicate surgery the next 24 hours are critical!"
"But she's going to be okay right" says Brot still in shock
"I've done all I can the rest is up to Natalia!You can see her two at atime but don't stay long unless you don't speak she needs her rest!says David
"You go first Brot!'says Jesse"she cares about you I know she does!
"Why don't you both go in first !'says Angie
As both man go into Natlia's intensive care room
Flashback to Billy Clyde driving Kathy's car with all three women!“Goll dang what’s a wrong with this here steering it won’t steer’as the car veers off the road and over the cliff edge on Canyon road just down the road from the landslides of few days ago
Flash to a little while later and we see Emily-Ann still seated in the car behind the drivers seat unconscious.Kathy beside her unconscious ,Dottie still in the front seat unconscious and the car tittering on another cliff edge with Billy Clyde nowhere to be seen!Sometime later
Emily-Ann awakens looks around and realizes she's hanging upside down in a car tittering on a cliff edge.Both Kathy and Dottie are totally unconscious and unresponsive!She looks around sees Kathy and unbuckles her sestbelt and manages to drag her out of the car laying her down.EmilyAnn then goes back to the car and drags Dottie from the front seat.Kathy has blood pooling on her head.Dottie has blood all down her wedding dress.Emily -Ann's clothes are battered and torn and covered in blood as we pan into her we see blood coming out the side of her mouth.Emily-Ann tries to figure out what to do as the camra pans up we see they are down the cliffside to far to climb.
She thinks"Okay what can I do?'Kathy's a teenager and teens have cellphones!Maybe she'll have one in her pocket of her coat?'Emily-Ann searches Kathy's pocket's and finds her cellphone!Emily- Ann dials 911

Emily-Ann awakens looks around and realizes she's hanging upside down in a car tittering on a cliff edge.Both Kathy and Dottie are totally unconscious and unresponsive!She looks around sees Kathy and unbuckles her sestbelt and manages to drag her out of the car laying her down.EmilyAnn then goes back to the car and drags Dottie from the front seat.Kathy has blood pooling on her head.Dottie has blood all down her wedding dress.Emily -Ann's clothes are battered and torn and covered in blood as we pan into her we see blood coming out the side of her mouth.Emily-Ann tries to figure out what to do as the camra pans up we see they are down the cliffside to far to climb.
She thinks"Okay what can I do?'Kathy's a teenager and teens have cellphones!Maybe she'll have one in her pocket of her coat?'Emily-Ann searches Kathy's pocket's and finds her cellphone!Emily- Ann dials 911
"911 what is your emergency ?Fire Amblance or Police?"asks the operator

“Emily-Ann I told you I’d get you anew ma.ma now yore goina have two!This is Dottie and little Dixie !says Billy Clyde “I know what yore a thinking and don’t youse worry none I left a note for that there varmint Tad Martin!’”he’s goina know I took his little bride and his chile!Course his honey chile is a grown woman and who canna blame her that she’s took a little old shine to yores truly!’And his bride she’s goina make me a good second wife as I’m turning Mormon now!I saw that show Big Love in da big house and it sounds like ti would be loads of fun!’as he drives away Dorothy‘s fine restaurant

“What the heck is going on ?Were you robbed?’asks Tad taking off gags and ties.
“There was a strange man here .He had red hair and a handlebar mustache .He demanded we go into the kitchen and then he got us to tie each other up.Once that was done he tied up the last person.Then he demanded to know where Dottie and Kathy were!’
“Oh my God Billy Clyde has them that’s why I can’t find them!’ says Tad aloud as one of the employees says “he left these for you handing Tad Dottie’s veil and a note
Tad opens the note and we see:

“Women folk when will they learn that Billy Clyde Tuggle knows best no woman has ever bested me and they never will !'he says placing Dottie and Kathy in two different serving carts he puts tablecloths over and then wheels out to the alley behind Dorothy’s fine dining!He ushers them to Kathy’s waiting car and puts Kathy in the front seat buckling her in .He places Dottie directly behind her.He ties both their hands and feet!then he opens the trunk of the car taking out Emily-Ann and placing her directly behind the drivers side!

“Very admirable in this day and age however to release the child in your care you’ll need to be under the same roof!’
“Why don’t we move up the wedding Dottie ?asks Tad getting desperate looking at the little boy Michael!”Say Friday I’m sure that Michael won’t be released until next week will he Melissa?
