"So do you think you're going to like living here at chez Martin?'asks Tad to Mike
"Wow is this room really all mine?Asks Mike surprised and excited
"Yes of course you need your privacy!'says Tad
"You forgot your laptop in here!'says Mike
"No I didn't that's yours but I have to warn you now I put controls on it for content!and I reserve the right to check it !I want to be a good parent to you and that means I have to know your safe on line and that you aren't amking an rookie mistakes!'explains Tad
"You care about what I do because it might effect you?'asks Mike misunderstanding
"No I care because it might effect you and my abilty to keep you here!'says Tad reassuringly as Mike hides his face as he secretly smiles
"Who's clothes are in the closet did someone forget them?'Mike asks
"Mike there for you!'says Tad"Dottie picked that out .She said to tell you she left the tags on and if you don't like any they can be exchanged!"
"These are all for me? Wow cool a hockey jersey! and a football Jersey and this pants are rad!'
"Glad you like them !Dottie picked them out the day before our wedding!The only thing I insist is that you show modesty with those low wasted pants and wear a belt we don't want to embarrass the ladies in this house.Oh and pajama pants and shirts must be warn outside of this room!I hate to bring this up but we also have a rule in this house that no one enters anyone elses bedroom without knocking! If there's a set time for studying you want then you let everyone know and we will try to respect that and not disturb you!'
'I'll try hard to follow the rules Mr."says Mike afraid that all these wonderful things will disppear
"Mike your family! There's bound to be a few problems adjusting but if you find any please come talk to me! You never have to be afraid okay I'll always listen !'says Tad
"Aw okay!' says Mike trying to get rid of Tad before he shows emotion!"I'm kind of tired I'm just going to nap for awhile if that's okay?'
"Sorry Buddy I should have realized see you later for lunch come down when you're ready okay!'says Tad contrite and leaving Mike's room shutting the door
Mike looks around and says to himself
"I wonder how long this will last this time before they decide they don't want me?'
Tad in his bedroom seeing if Dottie needs anything
"There that's the control for the electric blanket and here's the remote for the tv !'Tad says
"Tad quit worrying I'm fine "says Dottie smiling
"I was terrified when that maniac kidnapped you and Kathy !'Tad admits
"It's okay now Jesse will find him and we'll all be fine!'says Dottie "how is Mike settling in did he like his clothes and room?'
"Yes but I can tell he's not comfortable yet!"says Tad
"It will take some time Tad !Remember how you told me it took time for you to believe the Martin's wanted you!'says Dottie
"I don't want to leave you guys alone so Ma.ma's coming for awhile well I go back up to visit Kathy this evening!'says Tad
"Don't be bringing her fast food Tad unless you get it from my restaurant .My chef knows how to make heart smart foods!It's on our menu if you look!'says Dottie'what's more they taste devine!It wouldn't hurt you to start thinking about eating some heart smart foods either!'says Dottie
"I all ready found that out that's where I got the food I brought her yesterday!What would you like for dinner I could go to your restaurant and have them make anything you want !'says Tad
"Oh Tad says Dottie giggling "I thought I was marrying a man who cooked !
"I'll show you cooking !'he says laughing and gently taking her in his arms and kissing her!
"Dad I'm home!'yells Jenny interrupting the growing passion between Dottie and Tad
"What is she doing home so early?asks Tad straightening his clothes and buttoning his shirt as Dottie puts her nightgown back on
"This can't be good!'says Dottie
