“I sure hope so my writer told me that Colby’s store wasn’t busy and what customers she had she chased off by losing her temper with staff!’’ says Annie
“Krystal says I shouldn’t have kept her like a princess in a tower! Krystal says that I should have let her find her way her path. Maybe business woman isn’t her forte but that no good Cortlandt she’s married to isn’t supporting her. He ‘s a sponge living off his wife. He must take after his brother Tad Martin! Tad never did a day’s work that was hard he played at being a vineyard owner and a TV host and PI. ‘says Adam disgusted with Pete not inheriting his dad’s company and not working a a job right now
‘I don’t think that’s fair Adam it’s hardly fair that he’s father used him even beyond the grave to run the company until his brother was found and then he’s out of the company! ‘defends Annie
“He doesn’t have a job! He has three degrees the boy should be able to get a job unless he’s too lazy to go out and get one!’ says Adam
Adam you have to realize as a businessman how slim the pickings are for jobs. If you are so worried put in a good word for him with one of your friends unless you really want to hold that over Pete’s head!’ says Annie’ As for Tad that’s really unfair did you know I heard a rumour form one of my news contacts that Tad is working for the FBI!’
“Tad working for the FBI? Preposterous!’ states Adam
“I don’t know usually this reporters information is very accurate!’ says Annie

“Wait Annie! I heard you called him Scott Stuart Tyler Chandler is that true?’ asks Adam
‘Yes Adam!’ says Annie resigned waiting for him to yell at her for using both Scott and Stuart’s names
“Thank –you Annie both my brother and his son in his grandson! I sent a present for my new great nephew. It should arrive at your home by courier this afternoon! Goodbye Annie! says Adam hanging up
“Well will wonders never cease the great Adam Chandler thank me again and is sending a present for Scotty !I wonder what he is sending .I hope it’ not a silver rattle Danielle and her family have that covered!
Annie is tired but knows that she can’t sleep Scotty will be up soon. She lies down on the sofa and closes her eyes for a couple of minutes while that baby monitor is on. She wakes up and hears no sounds from Scotty’s room .She looks at a clock and realizes she’s been asleep for two hours .she races up the stairs looks in Scotty’s crib to find him gone!
“Oh no’she thinks ”Caitlin has escaped and stolen Scotty again!’
Annie comes racing out of the room dials 91 and then sees Scotty in Emma’s arms
“Oh hi Mom I Fed Scotty with that breast milk you had in the fridge .He’s been changed too! Oops make that he needs changing again !’says Emma smiling
“Oh Em I thought she’d come back and taken your brother!’ says Annie
“Mom I’m sorry for making you worry about that! That will never happen again! We won’t let it!’ states Emma contrite
‘I’m sorry to Emma I was just so scared that she’d done it again!’says Annie
“I just saw how tired you looked this morning since you were up all night with Scotty and his tummy ache and I thought you needed t sleep so i thought I’d look after my little brother! He loves his big sis don’t you Scotty!’ Emma says kissing him!
“I’m sure he does I know I love you both!’ says Annie
‘Thanks Mom! Hey can we order pizza for supper?’ asks Emma
‘Sure here’s the menu !why don’t you go ahead!’ says Annie
Annie watches Emma look at the menu and then go on her computer
“Hey Em!’ she says after a few minutes of waiting ”When are you going to order the pizza I’m starved!’
‘I all ready did about a half an hour!’
“ I didn’t see you on the phone!’ complains Annie
Mom you are so archaic I did it online! Hardly anyone uses the phone any more!’ says Emma in a disgusted tone
Just then the doorbell rings
“Mom that will be the pizza guy you better go pay him!'says Emma Okay!’Back in a minute but I’m only going to eat one piece.I have to lose some baby weight! Annie explains
“Mom if everyone looked as good as you did after having a baby they’d be very lucky. I bet your in your pre-pregnancy clothes right?’ asks Emma
Does everyone fit in their clothes right away ? I did with you!’ states Annie
“No they don’t let’s face it mom if anyone didn’t see your baby they wouldn’t know you even had one!’ says Emma
“Thanks Emma you make my self esteem go up so easily!’ says Annie hugging her as the doorbell chimes again and Annie says “okay sorry Pizza guy I’m coming!’

Danielle opens the door of Chandler’s Fine Clothing.
“Yes may I help you?’ says a sales clerk immediately
“I have an interview with Ms.Chandler. I’m from Bravo magazine!’ says Danielle
“Oh Ms.Chandler’s not here yet .she should be here soon though .She just finishing up her class!’ says the sales clerk politely
‘Is there somewhere I can wait out of the way?’ asks Danielle
“Well I don’t know! See this is only my second day on the job! Melanie she’s the manager that hired me but she was only here five minutes this morning and she disappeared. I’ve been trying to run the store and I really don’t know what I’m doing!’ the sales clerk admits then says “Oh no what have I done? You‘re the press you’re not going to print this are you because I’m sure that this isn’t usual! I mean look at this shop it’s so upscale and yet trendy!’ If you print that I’m going to get fired and it’s only my second day!’ says the clerk covering ”Here’s a stool you can sit in!
“Thank-you of course I’ll keep what you told me in confidence. This is really a promotional piece we’d really like to promote Chandler’s Fine Clothing and bring the customers in for Ms.Chandler.’ says Danielle
“Oh a fluff piece must be the pits getting sent on one of those when you’re a journalist! says the clerk ’I’m Ashlee! You know like Ashlee Simpson! I changed the spelling right after she changed hers! So if you put my name in the piece that’s how you spell it! It’s Ashlee Sampson!’ says Ashlee

“My father Palmer.... died ...about three months ago!’Pete says quietly stumbling a little words as Colby reaches out and hugs him and glares at Danielle
“I am sorry Pete!Your father was an incredibly debonair charming man .He treated me with the utmost kindness! Do you know he offered his plane to my Dad to fly me to Hawaii after my coma. He was a man among millions! I am sorrily grieved to hear this!’ says Danielle with heartfelt sadness

“And your dad Adam he’s okay?’asks Danielle
“He still blusters if that’s what you mean! He’s re-married he married Krystal again!’ My dad retired and left the business to Jr! But he still dabbles in the business that’s why you’re here!’
“I heard about his troubles!’ says Danielle
“Really you heard he lost his mind that he thought he killed his own brother only to find out that his crazy adopted nephew had? Is that what you heard Danielle?’Colby says nastily
“Colby !admonishes Pete

I don’t need or want your stupid Bravo article get out of my story Danielle Frye and stay the hell the way from my husband is that clear!’ says Colby yelling and stomping her feet as she runs into her office Pete on her heels
“Pete I don’t think that‘s a good idea! Colby used to blow like that when I when I was younger and you just stayed out of her way until she calmed down! says Danielle getting ready to leave
“Bitch! Who do you think you are telling my husband how to handle me! Get out of my store before I strip you bald!’ says Colby turning around to bodily throw Danielle out of her store
Two customers who have slipped in and heard the whole thing say
“Have you ever seen the like of it the language on that young lady!’ says the one woman
“That’s the owner of this store Colby Chandler-Cortlandt !The apple does fall far from that tree she as crazy as her Daddy!’s ays the other woman as they both leave the store
“Colby grow up !We need business in this store right now it’s our only income! And you just scared off the customers as well as insulted one of our oldest friends ! What is wrong with you?’
“Oh Pete it’s been the worst day! I got my business accounting exam back and I’m flunking out how will I tell that to Daddy! He thinks all of us are geniuses at business!’Melanie who is suppose to be managing the store since my last manager left out has disappeared and the store is bleeding money. If we don’t start selling some merchandise soon I’m going to have to declare bankruptcy! And you don’t have a job and I might be pregnant! cries Colby with big sobs breaking down in Pete’s arms.
Meanwhile outside the store Danielle calls Annie
“Ms.Chandler I’m really sorry but I can’t get the story on Chandler’s Fine Clothing! says Danielle apologetically worry that she will now be fired
“It was Colby wasn’t it !She figured out that it was my magazine and she balked! I’m sorry Danielle that you had to put up with her! Is there anyway to write an article without her? He has to be positive! I know that goes against your journalistic teaching but Adam asked me this favour to try and help his spoiled daughter save her business and I couldn’t say no!’ explains Annie
I took some pictures before she arrived of the store and outside I suppose I could cobble an article together!’ says Danielle
“Thank-you Danielle even though you will be Caroll’s assistant, I’ll try to keep throwing a few stories for you to do your way if you pull this off! ’ Annie promises

‘Isn’t he handsome! ’ says Annie as she carries Scotty into her office to Caroll!
“Annie he’s adorable! Did you get the flowers and the presents I sent for him to the house?’ asks Caroll
“Caroll that was so lovely of you to send that outfit! See if you look he’s wearing it!’ says Annie as the camera pans in and we see Scotty wearing a sailor suit and holding a rattle in his tiny hands!
“Oh I’m so glad he liked it!’ says Caroll gushing “but isn’t it too soon for you to be here at the office? I mean it’s been what a week since Scotty was born! You need to rest and enjoy this little guy !’
“I’m only staying for a couple of hours and I have to admit Caroll that I couldn’t have done this if it wasn’t for you doing all my work!’ says Annie
“I haven’t done all that much!’ says Caroll
“Yes you have Caroll and I’m rewarding you I made some calls last week and your assistant will be he any moment! Now remember she’s her on a trial basis but if she doesn’t seem to help remember she’s here on a trial basis!’Oh there she is now!’ Annie says as her door is knocked on

“Yes uh huh real smart Colby! ’says Pete distracted looking at their bank account
‘You’re not even listening to me!’ says Colby her hands on her hips!
‘I’m sorry Colby I was looking at our declining bank account!’ says Pete
“Well don’t worry about that my quarterly payment on my trust fund is coming up! And you get paid soon!’ says Colby flippantly oblivious to Pete’s worry
“Colby were going to have to cost costs I’m not going to live on your trust fund!’ says Pete
“Live on my trust fund what’s going on Pete you’re not making sense did you lose Cortlandt Electronics? Did you make it go bankrupt?’
“No but you know what, Ross came and took my job today!’ says Pete upset ”You are looking at an unemployed man!’
“How is that possible your father left Cortlandt to you didn’t he?’ says Colby puzzled
“Yes I thought that too but it seems I was mistaken!’ says Pete hurt and dejected

“Then I guess we are going to have to really cut back! No more shopping at those high end stories! In fact no more shopping at all except for necessities!’ says Pete “Definitely no more takeout I’ll start cooking until I get a job!’
“I’d like to see that! says Colby laughing ”you can’t even make toast without burning it!’
“I can too! I’ll get some cook books form the library! says Pete grabbing her by the waist and putting her on his lap and kissing her

“Oh I’m up to Colby! Tomorrow you’re coming home to a surprise but for now waht about my surprise? asks Pete seductively
‘Pete come in to the bedroom and see what I bought you! And before you say I have to take it back sorry negligees are non refundable!’ says Colby jumping off his lap and running into the bedroom!
“Is it my favourite color?’ asks Pete expectantly
“Only if your favorite is Blue!”says Colby laughing from the bedroom
“My favourite is whatever you’re wearing, but flesh tone is even better !’Pete says lustfully opening the bedroom door and shutting it quietly behind him!’

Colby is looking over figures for her store in her office in the store.
“I don’t understand this how can it be still in the red we had terrific sales last week. How am I to finish my designing degree when I have to handle stuff like this?’ complains Colby loudly to herself
“Ms. Chandler we have a little bit of a crisis in the store!’ says the woman coming into Colby’s office
“Melanie it is polite to knock you know! What is this crisis now I have class in an hour!’says Colby
“The manager Elaine hasn’t showed up I think she got a better job because she called in sick Saturday, Sunday and Monday!’ says Melanie
“Oh great that’s wonderful! Like I didn’t have enough on my plate! You want to be manager Melanie? You get a raise a little more responsibility but your salary is better it’s a lot better than minimum wage!’ asks Colby off the cuff
“I don’t have an experience Ms.Chandler !I mean this is my first job! Are you sure?’ asks Melanie
“Sure I mean how hard can it be you just make sure everybody gets schedule and comes in .You can do that right? Oh Yes and you make sure all the orders come in and the stock gets out and recorded for my records. You can handle that right? asks Colby
“Yes,think so!’ says Melanie who doesn’t really sound so sure
“Good you’re in charge while I go to school I be back here! Oh and can you hire another sales clerk to take over your job!’Says Colby as she leaves the store
“Oh dear ! This sure is a lot of work I don’t know how I’m going to fit it in !I’ve got Ricks’ party tomorrow ,Sherrisha’s Wednesday, Meg’s Thursday, Patricia’s on Friday !I’m not staying late! I’m sorry for this deception it wasn’t my idea’ says the other person as the camera pans and we see Ross Chandler
“I thought he believed in me that he finally believed that I was an intelligent capable businessman instead I was a stand-in for you!’ says Pete hurt
“It’s not like that Pete! Dad still wanted you to stay on at Cortlandt as Vice President!’ offers Ross
‘Right tell me another one this is you throwing me a bone!’ says Pete
“Peter you went to business school! You have a BMA in business! You’ve kept our company in the black for the months it took the lawyers took to find me! Any company would be lucky to have you working for them!’ says Ross councillatory
“Right!I’m so great that Dad gave you Cortlandt!’says Pete bitterly
“Pete I know this is been a terrible blow to you don’t do anything rash!’ says Ross
“Rash?RASH I’ll give you rash !I quit!’ says Pete
“Pete, please reconsider were brothers!”says Ross
“Ross I’ve seen you about what three times in my life! Dad hardly ever talked about you and yet he gives you the company that I sweat blood and tears for! Am I suppose to be happy about this and say here have the company I’ll be your subordinate!’ asks Pete ”I Quit!’
“Pete, please reconsider!’demands Ross as Pete storms out followed by Ross
Ross leaves Pete to leave and then calls HR!
“Pete Cortlandt will be on vacation until further notice !’says Ross into the phone then making another call he says
“Ann this is Ross Cortlandt your new President of Cortlandt please send out a press release
Ross Chandler-Cortlandt son of Palmer Cortlandt will be taking over as effectively immediately as President of Cortlandt Electronics this will be a smooth transition! We look forward to serving our customers and shareholders in this transition period!

“Hello, Mr.Chandler! How are you today?’ asks the woman from the doorway
“Better!Thanks Betty I think this new medication is working better for me! My mind is as foggy and my mouth too dry!’ says Scott
“You have a had a phone call!’ says Betty
“Someone called me? Someone cares? ’asks Scott looking surprised
‘A lot of people care about you Scott! says Betty the nurse “we get calls and visits all the time! The only reason you haven’t been allowed visitors up to this point is that the doctor felt it would not be good for your treatment!’
“Really? I thought people had just given up on me after all I killed my father! The sweetest man to ever lived and I took his life for a few coins!’ says Scott remorsefully
“J.r,your cousin has called and come by many times! So has your ex wife Annie Chandler!’ says Betty
“Annie has been by? She must hate me! I hurt her you know!’ says Scott
“I don’t think she hates you! I asked your doctor on whether you could handle this information and he said he thought you were ready! Annie gave birth to your son three days ago!’
“Three days ago? And I’m just learning now? Is Annie okay? Is my son okay?’ asks Scott worried knowing that Annie would have told him right away if she could despite what he had done
“There was an incident!’ says Betty
“An incident what kind of incident are they okay or not?’ asks Scott getting a little excited
“Mr.Chandler if you do not remain calm this conversation will not continue!’ scolds Betty
“I’m sorry Betty! I got little excited there but I’m calm now so I really like to know what happened can you tell me? Scott says slowing his voice down and sounding calm to convince Betty
“That’s much better Scott! Now remain calm and I will continue! says Betty waiting and then continuing she says” Annie had a difficult labor gave birth with only the help of a security guard while that man went for help for Annie your son was kidnapped!’
Scott gasps here wanting to say something but trying to stay calm to hear the rest he doesn’t interrupt
“Annie was devastated and had to be sedated for surgery! While they were doing surgery on Annie to remove the placenta the baby was recovered!’ says Betty
“Annie’s okay and and my boy....My boy is okay?’ asks Scott fearful of the answer
”Please God don’t let the sin of the father fall on my boy!’ prays Scott!
“Annie’s doing well she’s home now with your boy !Scott your boy is fine perfect in every way! He weighed 8lbs 6oz and is 23 inches long .Annie named him!’ says Betty drawing it out
“She did? Is his name Ryan?” asks Scott doubtful it could be anything else
“Annie called personally to tell you and us the baby’s name! The baby’s name is Scott she calls him Scotty!’ says Betty ”She said to tell you that she and Emma agreed his name should be Scott but they’d call him Scotty!His full name is Scott Stuart Tyler Chandler!’
“Oh Annie you are the sweetest woman on earth! ‘says Scott ”she named him after me and my Dad after all I did?’
“Yes it seems she did! She said everyone makes mistakes and that she believed that you had done all this because you were ill so she wasn’t going to be like others who condemned her when she was ill! She said however that we were to make it clear that doesn’t mean she still loves you! You’ll always have a place in her heart but she’s moved on!’ says Betty reading from a paper where she’s written this down!
“I have a son a son named Scotty!He's my son so I better get better and make my boy proud!’ says Scott in wonder

Annie gazed in wonder at little Scotty lying his basket! Which Scotty’s cot is so close to Annie’s bed she can touch it!!
“Oh my sweet little boy Mommy is so sorry she let that evil lady get you! Mommy will never let anyone take you again!’ Annie says to Scotty touching his arm. Marvelling over his finger and toes counting each one! Annie thinks back to last night when Tyler brought Scotty back.
Flashback to the night before
Annie’s new room that they’ve just returned her to after her surgery
Annie hears the cry of Scotty and looks for him still half under the results of the anaesthesia she at first sees him in Ryan’s arms then she sees clearly that he is in Tyler’s arms .She smiles and holds out her arms to her baby tears in her eyes
“But how? ’ asks Annie
“It’s Easter a day for miracles! All things are possible today! ’says Tyler
How will I be ever able to thank-you?’ says Annie
“A kiss from the fair maiden and a thank-you to Dottie Martin who got her to give Scotty to me!’ says Tyler
Annie kisses Tyler on the cheek as she gazes with true love at her son and Emma walks into this!
“Mom are you okay? ’asks Emma frowning at Tyler
“I am now! Caitlin Mc Gillis took your brother Scotty! Tyler brought him back I thought I’d never see Scotty again! I thought I go out of my mind and they insisted I go into surgery! I wanted to find your brother but I couldn’t Tyler promised me he find him and he did!’ says Annie looking at Tyler with admiration
“Mom it’s really nice that Tyler got him back and I’m grateful but don’t you think you should let Dad know everything is okay!’ says Emma pointedly

We see Aaron lying in his bed as a nurse pushes Kathy into his room
“You’re okay !’Aaron and Kathy both say at the same time then “I love you!as they both laugh with joy and Kathy and Aaron reach out and hug one another
“Where’s the doctor I saw in here before ?’asks Kathy
“He left through the other door!’’says Aaron pointing to the other door in his room
“And he said your okay now that you’ve woke up?’asks Kathy
“Well it seems i have some broken ribs and a broken leg!My skull was fractured but it’s healing!’explains Aaron
“But you’ll be okay you’ll get better?’asks Kathy urgently
“Kathy I’ll be okay !Will you? I mean your heart and then the baby!Ogh god Kathy we were parents oh god my boy my baby boy he’s gone!’says Aaron in great anguish tears in his eyes not dropping
“I’m sorry Aaron it was my fault if only I had taken bettercare of myself maybe our boy would have lived !I’m so sorry!cries Kathy through big anguished sobs
“Come here now Kathy Martin!demands Aaron opening his arms and taking her in them
“I’m only going to tell you this once!It was not your fault!I wasn’t there for you a nasty man kidnapped you stole you away and hurt you!He killed our babyif anyone was responsible not you!I know you love with fierceness ,any child would be lucky to have you as a mom.In the short time our son lived in you I’m sure he knew he was loved!We will always grieve our son but neither you or I killed him circumstances and an evil man stoled him from us!Understand so dry your eyes !We will remember our boy and even though he’s far from us on day w will see him again!’says Aaron comforting Kathy”do you forgive me for not being there for you for turning away from you and almost slepeing with Keisha?
“Aaron I admit I was angry an hurt that you would turn to her but I pushed you away!I accused you of rape I’m so sorry that I didn’t remember!I do now! I remeber the care you took to make it special I remember that you told me you’d love me forever!do you still?’begs Kathy

“Well it’s like this!'says Aaron as Aaron tells Kathy about his mother breakdown her taking him from the foster home when he was 5 and changing his last name!
Just then a voice comes over the intercom speaker of the hospital
‘Caitlin are you here!It’s Dottie Martin!Caitlin if you are here in the hospital you don’t have to hide!You have Annie’s baby Scotty it’s not your baby!Your baby boy Aaron needs you in fact he’ just woke up and his asking for his mother!Come on Caitlin come and see your boy Aaron needs you!’Dottie says over the loudspeaker throughout the hospital as Cailtin hears this and realizes this baby she holds that is crying is not Aaron.
“What have I done? Caitlin says from in the linen closet where she had been hiding down the hall from Aaron’s room “I must go see my son! What have I done what did we do to my boy what did I do?’Who’s baby is this?’
Cailtin opens the door baby in hand walks down the hall and hands the baby to Tyler who is guarding Aaron’s room.she creeps past him quickly and says to Aaron
“Can you ever forgive me ?what did I do to you my baby?’throwing herself at Aaron’s feet
“Mother it’s okay I’m better now see!’says Aaron comforting his mother”but you must see you need help !you can’t go on this way !You almost killed me by accident but you did took a baby ,a newborn baby from it’s mother!You need help! Promise me you’ll get help mother if you truy love me get some help!’
“I will! I love you son! I’m sooo sorry I don’t know what wrong with me or how this happened!’ says Caitlin bewildered and confused
“I know mother!’ says Aaron
“She! What is she doing here? Cailtin says suddenly noticing Kathy in her wheelchair beside Aaron
“She is here because I love her and she loves me !’says Aaron fiercely protecting Kathy
“I loved someone once but they always leave you and betray you!’says caitlin quietly in her own world
“I know mother you have not been treated well! But Kathy loves me she treats me well she loves me despite my faults and she forgives me for waht I did to hurt her can you do any less than except my choice?’asks Aaron hoping the mother he know who is in ther ethat loves him will finally except Kathy
“Will you look after him while I get better?asks Cailtin of Kathy”he needs lots of attention and love!’
“I will I promise!’ says Kathy
“I’m ready to go Mr.Hubbard!’ says Cailtin as we see Jesse behind her ready to take her to Happy Valley Santitorim for assessment and possible criminal placement!Jesse gently puts cuffs on her leads her as if to go
“Will she be okay?’asks Aaron
“She’ll get the treatment she needs!’reassures Jesse”I doubt that she’ll see jail time only confinement until she’s better!’
“Good I love you mother get better!’says Aaron as they take Caitlin away

“Sort of .....Kathy oh no Kathy she saw Keisha and me together!’says Aaron remembering”she must hate me!’Why are you siting here where’s my mother?’
“Aaron do you remember anything else?’asks Dottie
“My mother came home and she found us together!she was mad really really mad !Only she wasn’t mom! Something happened to her again!’says Aaron
“This has happened before?’asks Dottie
“Yes along long time ago Mom went into the hospital because she wasn’t right!It was after Dad died! She spent ayear in hospital and I lived in foster care!When she got out she took me form the foster home.she had all out property in a rental truck and she said we had to change our last name from Collins to McGillis!’says Aaron”I promised her I wouldn’t tell I was only five but I promised and now I’ve told you oh my mother will hate me!’Aaron cries out terrified
“Aaron what happened when your mother came home?’asks Dottie trying to get Aaron to tell her what Caitlin had done.
“She came home but she was so different and so angry she grabbed me like she was a very strong man and she shook me and demanded to know what I had been doing how I could disgrace her like this.she chased me up the stairs punching me kicking me beating me.......and then”.....gulping tears and crying here stumbling over the words he doesn’t want to say”she,she,pushed me down the stairs!why why did my mother hurt me why does hs hurt me?’asks Aaron”I love her but she doesn’t love me!’heart wrenching sobs coming from Aaron as Dottie hugs him and says
“Your mother loves you very much but something happened to her I don’t know waht that was but she broke from it !She’s fractured into tiny pieces of people she once knew!She told me she was Patrick your dead grandfather,and Emma your dead grandmother,and Erin your dead aunt! She lost all these people and some other trauma holds deep ins ide of her something she can’t talk about that’s eating her up inside.But inside all of that she still loves you hold that tight Aaron!She will get better and she will deeply regret any harm her alter has donw to you!’says Dottie
“I wish you were my mom!’ says Aaron
“Right now maybe you do feel that way she hurt you!Repeatedly !Do you hate her?’asks Dottie
“I want to but I really do!she pushed me down the stairs she could have killed me!’says Aaron quietly but I can’t I remember the mom who stood between me and that man who was my Dad and kept him fromhurting me even as he hit her!i remeber the woman who di without so I could have money for football equipment!’She really is sick isn’t she it’s not her fault!

“Oh she must hate me first I pressure her into making love with me! Then she gets pregnant kidnapped and has heart problems and loses our baby!How she must hate me!’I hate me!’says Aaron very contrite and self loathing
“Aaron she loves you still she begged TJ and I to sit with you and beg you to wake upas she loves you!’says Dottie
“How could she love me I’m horrible and I almost slept with Keisha!’says Aaron
“She loves you get it through your head Aaron Mcgillis you will not hurt her again will you!’asks dootie fiercely protecting Kathy
“No I never will Mrs.Martin never again!Kathy is precious to me!she is my moon my stars my everything without her I feel so dead inside!’Are you sure she still loves me?’asks aaron hoping that Dottie is right
“Aaron would I be here if she didn’t !She wants to come to you I promised to get her when you awoke!’There is a guard outside I’ll be right back with her!’promises Dottie

“I have an idea about that too!’says Dottie ‘Leave this in my hands I will find your mom and get her help and get the baby back!’
“Wow Mrs.Martin, are you superwoman?’asks Aaron only half joking
“Today is Easter you arose from a coma with God’s good grace and Caitlin will arise from her deep sleep and return that baby to it’s rightful mother! With God’s help I think I know what to do to help your mom!’ says Dottie and I’ll get someone to bring Kathy to you!’
“I beginning to believe that The Martin’s were very lucky to get you Mrs.Martin!’says Aaron
“I think they do at least I hope they do’says Dottie smiling as she leaves

Meanwhile back in Aaron’s room as the Easter sun comes up Aaron blinks opens one eye and then the other to see Dottie sitting beside his bed!
“Ah hello Mrs.Martin !Where am I what am I doing here?’ he says as he looks around!

“My mother came home and she found us together!she was mad really really mad !Only she wasn’t mom! Something happened to her again!’says Aaron
“This has happened before?’asks Dottie
“Yes along long time ago Mom went into the hospital because she wasn’t right!It was after Dad died! She spent ayear in hospital and I lived in foster care!When she got out she took me form the foster home.she had all out property in a rental truck and she said we had to change our last name from Collins to McGillis!’says Aaron”I promised her I wouldn’t tell I was only five but I promised and now I’ve told you oh my mother will hate me!’Aaron cries out terrified
“Aaron what happened when your mother came home?’asks Dottie trying to get Aaron to tell her what Caitlin had done.
“She came home but she was so different and so angry she grabbed me like she was a very strong man and she shook me and demanded to know what I had been doing how I could disgrace her like this.she chased me up the stairs punching me kicking me beating me.......and then”.....gulping tears and crying here stumbling over the words he doesn’t want to say”she,she,pushed me down the stairs!why why did my mother hurt me why does hs hurt me?’asks Aaron”I love her but she doesn’t love me!’heart wrenching sobs coming from Aaron as Dottie hugs him and says
“Your mother loves you very much but something happened to her I don’t know waht that was but she broke from it !She’s fractured into tiny pieces of people she once knew!She told me she was Patrick your dead grandfather,and Emma your dead grandmother,and Erin your dead aunt! She lost all these people and some other trauma holds deep ins ide of her something she can’t talk about that’s eating her up inside.But inside all of that she still loves you hold that tight Aaron!She will get better and she will deeply regret any harm her alter has donw to you!’says Dottie
“I wish you were my mom!’ says Aaron
“Right now maybe you do feel that way she hurt you!Repeatedly !Do you hate her?’asks Dottie
“I want to but I really do!she pushed me down the stairs she could have killed me!’says Aaron quietly but I can’t I remember the mom who stood between me and that man who was my Dad and kept him fromhurting me even as he hit her!i remeber the woman who di without so I could have money for football equipment!’She really is sick isn’t she it’s not her fault!

Annie is in the room Tyler had taken her to.Still lying in the bed waiting for her son to be returned as Jake has checked her over!
“When are they going to bring back Scotty ?’she asks the nurse who is in the room with her
Jake comes in the room with Dr. Eric Clayton Annie’s new psychiatrist
“Why haven’t you brought Scotty back!What is he doing here ?I’m well now I can care for Scotty!Are you keeping Scotty from me?’asks Annie anxiously"I'm a fit parent I am!'
‘Annie “says Dr.Clayton”I have something difficult to tell you and it’s going to take all your exercises toget through this !Do you remember the exercises we practiced!’
“Why would I need then very well if I must breathe in deep breaths center myself in adeep blue pool I’m happy and swimming I get out sit by the pool and enjoy the sun!Thereare you happy I’m very very calm!’says Annie
“Annie there is no easy way to tell you this!’says Dr.Clayton”That nurse that took your baby was no nurse!’
“No why are you lying to me ?What are you telling me someone stoled my baby somone stoled my son?’Some stranger has Scotty?’asks Annie her voice rising then dropping off in shock
“It’s not a stranger to us we know her.Did you ever meet Cailtin McGillis Aaron’s mother?’asks Jake
“No Ryan always said he’d introduce me to his sister but he never did !I know Aaron well but not his mother!Are you saying Caitlin took Scotty but why would she do that?’asks Annie “wait a minute didn’t they say she was ill ,mentally ill ......she hurt Aaron and she has my baby.... my newborn baby? You have to find her and save my little boy!I have to go look for her and plead with her as one mother to another mother to give me back my little boy!’
“Annie I brought Dr.Clayton with me because I know how hard this is for you but you just gave birth all on your own and you still haven’t delivered the after birth .We may have to take you into surgery to remove it!”says Jake
“That can wait I have to find my boy my little Scotty!I have to save him......” says Annie getting up out of bed and fainting into Dr.Clayton and Jake’s arms!
As they put Annie back in bed and hook her up to an IV to take her into surgery.Dr,Clayton says
“I’m concerned about what a setback this could be for Annie!Even someone who is has always been mentally sound would have difficulties with this parents worse nightmare!’
“I know if anything happened to Ruth or Trevor....”says Jake breaking off
“Annie has come a long way she’s worked very hard to be strong again.She’s forged a career! She’s stood up to people who challenged her and made things difficult for her.’I’m very proud of her effort!But this this is going to be a terrible blow!They have to get that baby back or all that work will be destroyed with one stroke!’says Dr.Clayton

Happy Valley-Part 7- Aaron and Caitlin’s Story
Kathy awakes to the cry of a baby and thinks for a moment it’s her son .
“I’m coming little Aaron mommy’s coming!’says Kathy not fully awake and then realizing it wasn’t her baby crying that little Aaron is gone she wipes her eyes and lays back in the bed !
Just then she sees staff scurry in the halls .She hears doors opening and one staff member comes in her room looks in every nook and cranny and walks out again without explanation.
“I wonder what is going on?’ she thinks as she slips on her robe grabs the monitor lead and the portable heart monitor and gets in a wheelchair “I have to make sure Aaron is okay waht if he’s mother came back that could be who they are searching for?’ Kathy guesses
She wheels her wheelchair down the hall to Aaron’s room to find the hallway in front of his room filled with police officers.
“What’s happened ?”she asks the police officer posted outside Aaron’s room
“This is a crime scene Mam you should move along and go back to your room!’says the police officer
“What do you mean this is a crime scene is Aaron all right?An where is my stepmother Dottie Martin?’asks Kathy worried
“Mam Mrs.Martin is your step-mother?’asks the police officer
“Yes and Aaron is my boyfriend!’says Kathy
‘Aaron MacGillis is the same as he was mam.Your stepmother was tied up by one Caitlin Mcgillis!’says the police officer”she was seen by a doctor and is back sitting with Mr.Mcgillis!’says the police officer
“I’m going in to see them!says Kathy determined
“Very well Mam let me get the doors for you!’says the officer suddenly helpful
“Thank-you!’says Kathy as she goes into the room straight to Aaron’s bed and takes his hand
“Aaron it’s me again Kathy!Rest up and get better my love! No matter what I love you do you understand that you big lug!I’m here for you and will be here for you when you wake up!If I’m not here I’m resting up and getting better to be with you!dottie is sitting with you giving you my love or TJ is when I’m not here .Tha’s because thy think of you as family!Yuo ar family because I love you they love you so rest up and come back to us the Martinfamily okay!’pleads Kathy as she feels a squueze from Aaron’s hand in hers
“He heard me I know he did he squeezed my hand to let me know he heard me!’smiles Kathy through happy tears she says to Dottie”are you okay Dottie I was so scared when the police officer told me Mrs.McGillis tied you up!’
“I’m okay seetie but I know Aaron would like you to task your strength this way to long! You need to take care of yourself to be of help to him!Right Aaron ?’Dottie says talking to Aaron as well”I promise I’ll be here someone will stay with him he’ll never be alone but you must go back and rest honey!’
“I want to stay with him!’begs Kathy
‘Iknow you do honey but you know that Aaron would want you to rest and take care of youself I’ll come get you or whoever is staying with him will if he wakes up is that a deal?”asks Dottie
“Fine then but I think there’s something else going on outside this room the police officers are sill running around!says Kathy
“I overheard one of the police officers says that Cailtin stoled a baby.annie’s newborn baby and they haven’t told Annie yet!’says Dottie first hesitating then telling Kathy
“Oh no poor Annie and Emma!I hope this doesn’t hurt Emma’s mom again she’s being doing so well mentally!”says Kathy
“Me too!’ says Dottie “now off you go!’she says directing Kathy back to her room and holding the door!
