“Pete lost his job as president of Cortlandt! His stupid brother my Uncle Ross went and told him he was taking over that that is what Palmer had always planned!’ Colby says sadly
“So Pete hasn’t been working? Colby do you have money troubles? Do you need money? I can give you some he doesn’t need to know it came from me!’ says Krystal
“It’s gone beyond that I’ve done some terrible and driven him to something worse ! I’ve been such a immature brat!’Colby says taking stock of her own failing
‘What did you do?’ asks Krystal resigned
‘Something terrible!’ Colby repeats
“Spit it out! You’ll feel better and maybe I can help you make it right!’ Krystal prods yet again
“I’m overdrawn on my trust account and I went out and bought shoes and address on credit just to make myself feel better. I thought I was pregnant I was so scared that I was and then I was scared that I wasn’t!’ says Colby
“And are you?’ interrupts Krystal concerned
‘No!’Colby says forcefully
“And it upset you!’Says Krystal knowingly
‘You understand!’ says Colby relieved
“It’s hard to be a woman!’Krystal says “Damned if you do damned if you don’t!’
“Yes! Pete thought I was happy about it! How could I be happy I want his child someday!So I was upset and ....
“You went to get some retail therapy!’ supplies Krystal
“Yes with money we don’t have?' says Colby sadly

“Pete got so mad! I’ve never seen him so mad! He called me a child and said he had to borrow money for our rent! And I was spending money like it was water! I told him I’d get some money from Daddy! He was so angry! He didn’t like that idea so I told him angrily to get a job!”Colby confesses

“I did and he left saying he didn’t know when he would be back! I got a call later and I found him in bed with another woman!’Colby says crying
“Oh Colby! That doesn’t sound like Pete sleeping with another woman! Wait a minute who called you and told you where to find him? ’ Krystal asks suspiciously
“A woman called with a mufffled voice and said he was in a room over Gregor’s bar!’
“And did you speak to Pete?’ asks Krystal
“Now he was under her!’Says Colby
“Really! Then I think it was a set-up Colby. Pete was either drugged or drunk or both!’ Krystal states
“I’ve been a fool it was her! She tricked me!’ Colby bemoans
“She just tangled with the wrong woman didn’t she honey!’ Says Krystal
‘I’m going to get my husband! And if that hussy thinks she can keep him she can think again!’ Says Colby
“You get her honey but don’t make me have to come bail you out of jail! Okay!’Says Krystal to a departing Colby
