David and Dr.Seabrooke outside Kathy door
"This is a very interesting case I'm glad you called me David!'says Dr.Seabrooke
"Colleen how could I not call you? You are the best in the world for this kind of a case!'says David flattering
"This means a lot to you doesn't it David?Is this personal?'asks Colleen
"Kathy's mother was very special to me!If I had been so lucky and things had gone my way maybe Kathy would have been my daughter or at least my stepdaughter!"states David slightly melancholy
"I heard I something about you David? Is it true that you have a young daughter living with you?'asks Colleen
"Yes my daughter Rose is living me!Would you like to see her picture?(David doesn't wait for an answer but pulls out his wallet)
"Wow it's true she's lovely David!So who is the lovely lady who's captured your heart and given you Rose?'asks Colleen looking disppointed
"I'm a free man Colleen.Rose's mother was a Doctor but she passed away about two years ago and we weren't together at the time!'says David somehow sounding seductive
"Good to know!So if I wanted to get dinner in this burg where is the best place to eat?'asks Colleen
"How about I take you to dinner I'm sure my daughter wouldn't mind eating with her grandma excuse me for a moment!'invites David seping away to call Rose and Vanessa
'Hello mother!Mother I have a favor to ask'
"Yes I'm going to be late!'
We hear and see Vanessa
"Hot date dear?'asks Vanessa
"How did you know?'asks David
"Dear you were always so obvious a mother knows! Rose will understand besides I wanted to take Rose to the symphony this evening anyway they are performing Handels fifth!'
"You'll take the guards?'asks David
"I don't think it's necessary anymore but if it will put your mind at ease very well I'll take them!'says Vanessa
"Thank you mother!'says David
'Well one night you can return the favor while I date that nice Mr Strathborne who's on the hospital board!'says Vanessa
"Mother haven't you had enough of older man with Alex?'asks David
"Dear I'm older and seasoned not dead!"says Vanessa insulted
"Okay mother see you later!'says David
"Bye dear !Don't do anything I wouldn't do!'says Vanessa hanging up
"That doesn't leave much!' David says under his breath hanging up his cellphone and stepping back to Colleen!
"So about my patient is the father of the baby in the picture?'asks Colleen
"Kathy hasn't come out and told me this but from what I could gather it's possible this was date rape!'
"Rape?Oh dear then does she really want to keep this baby?'asks Colleen
"I don't think she's totally made that decision yet but obviously that decision will have to be made soon!"says David
"Well I can let that slide for now but it will come up at a later date!'
"Do you understand the need for secrecy ?Kathy doesn't want anyone to know she's pregnant!'states David
"Sooner or later people will be aware !You can't hide this for nine months is she aware of that?'asks Colleen
"Yes but for now she needs to adjst herself to the idea!'states David
"Well patient confidentiality is a top priority Kathy can rely on me to do my utmost to keep this private.However some other members of staff may not be so circumstate!'
"If they want to keep their jobs they will!'says David angrily
'okay well I'll stay on this case but as I told our patient complete bedrest is in order probably for the rest of her pregnancy!'says Colleen
"Who's pregnancy ?asks Tad coming up and overhearing pregnancy
"One of our patients down the hall she's pregnant and has a bad kidney !'says David covering
"Oh okay!'says Tad "How's my girl ?'
"Kathy is rallying but as Dr.Seabrooke and I were discussing Kathy may need to rest her heart for up to a year to recover!'says David
'Sorry Tad Martin I'm Kathy's father!And what would that entail ?'asks Tad of Dr.Seabrooke
"Rest rest and constant monitoring !'I think she may be able to go home in a few days but she'd have to stay in bed or at least prone and come once a day to my new office here for monitoring!'states Dr.Seabrooke
"But it will get better?'asks Tad worried
"Yes I believe it will if Kathy follows my instructions to the letter!'states Colleen
"She will I'll make sure !'says Tad fierce but sounding relieved
