Happy Valley- Part 2 -Aaron and Cailtin's Story

The next day after Kathy lost her baby
Aaron has just returned from brain surgery
"How is he doing Jake ,Kathy wants to know?'asks Tad
"He's in an induced coma which should bring down the swelling on his brain !'says Jake"his heart rate is a little too fast and thready!'
"So he's out of the woods now I can tell Kathy he'll be okay?' asks Tad not really hearing the bad wanting to reassure his little girl!
"No Tad not just yet it will be a couple of days before we know!'says Jake sadly
'Kathy what are you doing out of bed?' asks Tad seeing Kathy in a wheelchair now going into Aaron's room
"Kathy you really shouldn't be out of bed you better not let David catch you"admonishes Jake
'since you are here though come over anad speak to him then it's back to bed you go!'
"Aaron !It's me Kathy!Come on we've wasted too much time as it is!I love you! I'm so sorry for pushing you away for accusing you of that awful thing.I love you so much!you have to wake up and come back to me Aaron!We can have a future once you wake up! I know you don't care about Keisha!You love me!Come back to me please Aaron fight!'pleads Kathytears in her eyes taking Aaron's hand in hers and he seems to hear her as his hand clasps back
"He heard me see he's clasping my hand!she shouts excitedly "I have to go for now Aaron but my family is here for you my Dad and my Uncle are here for you too!They will care for you like I do because they love me and therefore you are family!'says Kathy
"Do you think he heard me?'asks Kathy
"He heard you his much more peaceful now says Jake "look at the monitors"
"I'm so tired!'says Kathy
'Come on sweetie Uncle Jake will stay with aaron we have to get you back in bed !You have to get better so you and aaron can be together!'coaxes Tad
'Okay Daddy I am tired!'says Kathy
Tad takes Kathy back to her room and gently and tenderly tucks her back in bed!Kathy falls fast asleep in minutes!
Flash to David waiting at Dottie's for Colleen to arrive
"David what was the big emergency?' asks Colleen sitting down at David's table
"Sit down this could take awhile "says David
"This sounds ominous!'says Colleen
"This is really hard!'says David
"Wow coming from you that doesn't sound so good!'says Colleen
"The information I gave about your family was a lot of it second hand and I feel like a gossip now that I passed it on to you!I mean some of it was totally out of context !'starts David
"Really David they do not sound like a promising group of people!'says Colleen
"Colleen if I have learned one thing Colleen is that some family is forever!Although some you want to cut off there are some people that you have to give another chance!Your nephew Aaron is one of those .And although I'm not overly fond of Ryan your brother!He is your brother and I guess you should talk to him and get to know him before you totally write him off!As for Joanthan yes he did kill Braden but Braden was a rapist and criminal and Jonathan had a brain tumor at he time! 'explains David
"Wow David quite the confession!You surprise me this is a geniunely nice thing for you to do!'says Colleen"but you said Aaron was a rapist!'
"There's more to tell you Colleen.Something has happened Caitlin has done something horrible!She's had some kind of psychotic break and she pushed Aaron down some stairs after beating him up!Aaron ,Caitlin's son has had a hard life.Your sister Caitlin is mentally ill she's abused the poor boy!He didn't rape Kathy Martin it was a horrible misunderstanding!I feel so bad for ever thinking that he did that after all he's been through!'says David
"Caitlin is ill again?'asks Colleen"but they said she was well!'
"This has happened before?'asks David
"When Caitlin was about 12 years old she was lured by a neighbour !He abused her kept her prisoner over night and hse eascaped.He disappeared !'When she came home bedraggled her clothes tron and clearly beaten Daddy took a switch to here and sais she brought it on herself !He said hse was evil and abad influence for Erin and I.That was the one time Mamma stood up to him!Mama yelled at him and said it wasn't Cailtin's fault! They took Caitlin to the hospital but she' didn't speak a word at first and when she did she said she was Daddy!They kept her and treated her for about a year!The charity took care of the hospital bills!Daddy still griped that it was all her fault when she came home though Mama shushed him!"says Colleen
"Colleen that's horrible how could a father do that to his daughter?'asks David horrified and thinking of Rose
"There are many people in this world that shouldn't be parents and Daddy was one!'says Colleen
"So did they ever find the man who hurt Caitlin? asks David
"No they never found that bastard Robert Gardner!I hope he's rotting in hell!'Colleen says vehemently
"Did you say Robert Gardner?'asks David"it couldn't be the same man!'
"Do you know him do you know where that bastard is?'asks Colleen
'He's rotting in hell the police chief Jesse Hubbard killed him!'says David
"that's good I wish I had seen that!'says Collen fiercely"but waht were you saying about Cailtin and Aaron?'
"Aaron is in a coma in the hospital and Cailtin put him there!'says David
"What that's impossible even if she was menatlly ill why would hse hurt hr own son!'asks Colleen tryint to comprehend this
'She told his girlfirend that she thought he had raped her so she fixed him!'says David"I don't believe she meant to kill him!'
"Where is she?'asks Colleen
"Right now we don't know she threatened Kathy Martin and then disappeared!'says David
"And where is Ryan?'asks Colleen"why isn't he trying to find her?'
"I don't think he knows abouta ny of this he isn't answering his phone!'says David
"You don't think she did something to Ryan too do you?'asks Colleen worried
"I don't know anything else Colleen this is all I know!'says David
"I appreciate you telling me all this David,you'll forgive me if I just can't eat dinner!'says Colleen getting up to leave
"Our patient Kathy is doing well although she lost the baby!' says David trying to reach Colleen who seems shaken and distant
"That's for the best then her heart can heal!'says Colleen
"Would you like me to come with you to see how Ryan is?' asks David sounding like a chastened little boy pleading
"If you'd like !'says Colleen throwing David a bone!
But as David gets up we see his pretending his beaten he's up to something but we are not sure what!
Then we get flashback of David with the hospital board
"So if I bring on Dr.Colleen Seabrooke to the hospital as a fellow I get a bonus of $500,000?'asks David
"That's right Dr. Hayward we need someone so prominent in her field it will bring us added revenue!'says the board member
"And what incentives can I give her?'asks David
"Do what is necessary within reason Dr.Hayward!'Just remember though if you offer too much it will come out of your salary!'says the board member
"Consider it done!' says David smiling
