Tad's house
Tad is flirting and talking to Dottie about Kathy's dinner he'll bring her!
"Don't be bringing her fast food Tad unless you get it from my restaurant .My chef knows how to make heart smart foods!It's on our menu if you look!'says Dottie'what's more they taste devine!It wouldn't hurt you to start thinking about eating some heart smart foods either!'says Dottie
"I all ready found that out that's where I got the food I brought her yesterday!What would you like for dinner I could go to your restaurant and have them make anything you want !'says Tad
"Oh Tad says Dottie giggling "I thought I was marrying a man who cooked !
"I'll show you cooking !'he says laughing and gently taking her in his arms and kissing her!
"Dad I'm home!'yells Jenny interrupting the growing passion between Dottie and Tad
"What is she doing home so early?asks Tad straightening his clothes and buttoning his shirt as Dottie puts her nightgown back on
"This can't be good!'says Dottie
"Jenny why are you home ?asks Tad'It's 11am!'waht happened at school?'
"I'm suspended I got sent home!' says Jenny dejected
"Why were you suspended ?'asks Dottie
"I was cranky and they said I was mouthing off to a teacher but I really wasn't!'complains Jenny
"I'm sorry it's been a hard few days for you too!'says Tad 'I guess we didn't stop to think how Kathy being kidnapped and hospitalized effected you let alone your stepmom too!"says Tad giving Jenny a way out
"Oh daddy I'm sorry this I have been upset!"says Jenny seizing on this to get out of trouble
"Well it's not okay to be cranky with your teachers, you must have mouthed off and you really shouldn't do that!' says Dottie
"really I don't rememember asking for your input your not my mother I have a mother !"says Jenny belligerently
"Jenny you owe Dottie an apology!'says Tad
"That's right take her part!l I should have known nobody cares about me !'say Jenny at the top of her lungs running to her bedroom
"Tad maybe you should go after her!'says Dottie
"No I think she needs to think about her behaviour!She was suspended for being mouthy
and then she mouths off again at you that's unacceptable behaviour and if I go to talk to her now I'm going to yell at her and that is not the way to deal with her!'says Tad
Jenny's bedroom Jenny is writng in her diary
Dear Diary
I'm sick of everyone and everything !Everything is changing and everyone is leaving me behind!My mom marries this guy and moves in with him and I've seen her once since then!and he's one of the meanest guy in town.Mom expects me to smile and except him as my new stepdad but I heard all about him and what he did when she had me!How could she marry the man that 1. didn't help her when she was having me and 2,tried to sell me?I hate her!And now my Dad whom I thought loved me maybe just a little hmm proved once again that Kathy is always in his heart and not me!It's alawys like that old show the Brady's Kathy kathy Kathy!i feel sorry for that Jan character her sister must have been a super pain like mine!Sometimes it feels like Kathy steals all the oxygen in the room.You know it's not like she really tries to but everyone just seems to gravitate to her.I disappear ! I feel bad I mean I know she was kidnapped by that bad man and she's sick now but can't I have some attention from Dad too!And now he's got that albatross Dottie around his neck Miss Butter won't melt in my mouth!I hate her she's not only taking my Dad away from me but she also had my brother .I know ,I know I should love him and I do because he is my brother but he's someone else that Dad cares about more than me!Is it asking so much to ahve him do something with me? That boy is here now as well and I heard Dad tell him that it's really good that he'll have someone to talk sports with!That's the one thing we always do we watch sports and talk sports!Was he always wanting to do that only with a boy?I hate everybody I hate my life !Jenny writes
Then Jenny turns on her stereo full blast and lies down on her bed listening to My Chemical Romances "The End"
Tad comes up to her room and hears through the door
"C'mon C'mon C'mon I said
(Save me!) Get me the hell out of here

(You can't!) If you can hear me just walk away and
(Take me!)
"What kind of weird teenage music is that?"Tad wonders "in my teen years at least we listen to decent music!Stuff like Bonnie Tylers'Nothing But a heartache!'and Lay down Sally by Eric Clapton!Not like this ear busting stuff!
"Jenny ?'says Tad as he bangs on the door!
"Go away I don't want to talk to anyone!'says Jenny
"Jenny open this door now!' insists Tad
"What do you want?"asks Jenny
"Jenny I wish that you wouldn't take that tone with me and others!'It isn't good that you're getting in trouble at school!'states Tad
"Well if people weren't mean they wouldn't get me mad at them!'says Jenny
" I think your angry about a lot of things Jenny when your read yto talk I'll be ready to listen!'says Tad "until then however suspension from school is a punishment and it seems to me that listening to music in your room is fun so!I think you'll have to do some chores aournd here .Like empty and fill the dishwasher and if Dottie needs something you get it for her!Is that understood!
"Yes dad!'says Jenny "can I stay in my room for an hour is that okay?'
"Yes !Use the hour to get happier so you don't mouth off to us again okay says Tad hugging Jenny and leaving her room closing the door
"Don't take that tone with me!Jenny says exaggeratedly "you'll have to be Cinderella for your step -mother!Grrr I'm sooo sick of them!!!!
